It seems across the whole country that mopeds have become a object of interest to goverment, why now after a big boom over many years ago? They are not being sold by the thousands new anymore. I find it hard to believe its just about money, more about big brother. Last year Va. requires for first time a one time $10 title registration and $20.25 yearly license plate fees with no real proof of owne

I sold both about 20 years ago and don't remember a folder, all I ever did was change oil , replace tires and clean plugs. Most likely it's not it but it was the very same model, color and year , living this close it could be it. I still have the stock front turn signals and put them on this moped.

You have a , if stock, Dellorto 14.12 carburetor. To remove loosen bolt 24, fuel line at banjo 15, gently twist and pull forward until clear, remove screws 4 on 6. lift spring/slide assembly 1-12 up note 9 as it comes out. Carb. is now free. remove screws 32 from bowl 31. Remove jet 28, float pin 22 float 29 to remove needle valve 27.25 is idle screw. http://www.myronsmopeds.com/category/carbur

Chris I may have owned that bike at one time or one just like it, I live in Waynesboro and had a red one and a matched black one, they had mag wheels. Do you know if it had a windshield?

Its original , the saddle bags are Eastpak saddle bags for bicycles, no longer made I think the were about $30 in 1980, a lot. I replaced them with this one.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065FRBZ6/

Speedometer drive is on front fork right side, most other mopeds I see are on the left. I bought a new drive and it was left drive, switched the cap on it and cut a slot on the other side and it worked. Pack the speedometer driver/sender unit and cable with grease they go bad so does the speedometer. here's my title and registration from 1980.

Old speedometer has 4000 miles ,quit about 20 years ago , Bought a new one this year and it has over 400.

The resistor is right under the floor board on the left side facing forward, it steps down voltage from the coil to the brake light to the ground. It will run without bulb until you pull brake lever then will die .Brake light is on the stator ignition coil side, other coil is for head and tail light. System is 6 v 18 w. You can use a 12 volt 1157 bulb in the tail light.
