Here's my fix for some of the issues with the euro clutch. I made replacement bolts that are threaded on each end. McMaster sells 5mm chromoly rod that is nice for this. I also found a nylon washer that fits perfect over the rod, and I trimmed the edges to fit snugly in the plate. This centers the rod, keeping it from contacting the hole in the plate, it keeps the spring from bashing into the

If you got these, you can thank me as well.

Other clutches using this design have these blocks, probably to keep the spring and rod moving out in a straight line so it doesn't touch the sides of the hole it passes through.

Thanks for posting this! I have 100 miles on mine, also grabbing about 7.5k. I'll take it apart and have a look to see if the damage is showing this early.

I added set screws to the anchor of the spring stud for the euro clutch. Probably been done before but thought I'd share.

Dickie, that's pretty cool. I did the airbox on the carb thing, shampoo bottle JBot style. It only reduced the high frequencies. The pipe is a Crank Pipes on a hobbit.

So I'm trying to make my bike less super fucking loud. I tried the airbox thing, and it helped, but not by much. So has anyone tried to create a muffler? Or do you know of any existing designs?

So they did pay the ransom. I can't find an exact time, but it sounds like it was pretty quick after they were locked out.

I have a copy of a general key for my tank. Does it have the number on the cap somewhere?

I wonder if it would even be possible anymore to separate these critical systems from the internet. Like you have a guy go push buttons and pull levers like the olden days. It's also crazy to me that these ransomware attacks have been happening for years and governments/corporations don't have backups for their shit.

I didn't notice any increase in top end power, but they're great for adding power down low and in the middle.

A friend had the one way bearing on his bike for a while, I tried it, the engine braking sucks, they need to be greased pretty often or they get noisy. Pull starts are the still the best.

The input shafts for hobbit transmissions are bending or breaking off entirely when using the motomatic rear pulley and too much power. I made a brace that adds a bearing to the other side. Problem solved, no more weird vibrations at high speed, no more breaking shit. It's just 1/2" tube, some flat stock and a skateboard wheel bearing.

I'm glad I got a couple of the "re-inforced" motomatics while they were available. You can use any of the gy6 50 springs, Malossi's are best. I swapped out the pulley face for a NCY performance one that has better helix angles. In combination with the TJT & Treats plate, variation is flawless.

I feel the same way about mopeds losing their innocence from the speed wars arms race. The bike I ride now is wonderful, quick and thoroughly built. After the kit came the better pipe, then a bigger carb, then raising the clutch stall, then a cdi and on and on... After that hyrdo forks and a disc brake to make the thing safe at the speed it could achieve. I'm very happy with it, but the feeli
