You could make it work if you used super thin tubing and stuck a jet in the top end. Just have the tube end be higher than you would fill the tank. Probably impossible for it not to look ghetto unless it's done motorcycle style with two holes and brass fittings and all.
I like your style Joe. I'm gonna go buy the karropack in the thickness closest to my current gasket assuming that it comes off in some excusable condition.
I've got the Gazelles on my maxi and they're great. I can get my gangster lean on in the corners and everything. This won't be an issue on every moped but mine are 17x2.25 and they're a "wide" 2.25 so at first it rubbed a bit on the inside of my swingarm. Moved the wheel back a smidge and money.
Interesting. Where does one get this graphite coated gasket paper? And would that still need to be lubed with 2 stroke oil since it's got the graphite on it?Also what thickness is desired here? I found the karropack stuff and it comes in multiple thicknesses from .015 to .063
I always wake up thinking people are riding mopeds around in my backyard but then realize it's just the gardeners..
I got a good used one from my local moped shop for twenty bucks.
I didn't even know that was a real word I just assumed it was autocorrect because I got the gist of it haha
WTF I'm perusing moped things that are way over my head and next thing I know I'm on an internet journey watching hella videos about something called timbersports??
Ok thanks so much now I've got some work to do. I'm gonna pick up that precision file set from harbor freight too and maybe I can make something happen!
Sweet good to know. Since I'll be replacing gaskets can I really use cereal box material for it? Or should I wait for legit ones?
Hi everyone, newb question here. I want to remove the cylinders on my peds in order to portmatch my maxi intake and exhaust ports and also grind off the exhaust nub on my pug. Both of them have good compression and run great but if I take the cylinders off will I have to replace the piston rings or can I just file away and then put everything back nice and neat how it was?
Omg smart people keep it up!

Alright I got an actual 14mm bing carb body so this is my setup now.Stock za5014mm bing #24 slide 2.22 atomizer14mm intakemetal mesh filtertecno circuit pipeI've tried every jet from 62 to 72 with all kinds of different needle clip settings and I just can't go any faster than 30 on the flats! I need to go 40 to keep up with traffic. Is this because of the stock 18x40 gearing? I'm rea
Ok so a little update.I put the circuit on and it's the best thing to ever happen to anything. It's running great with a 62 jet but that's only because my dumbass didn't realize that the choke plate isn't fully opening.I'm hitting 30 on the flats easy now with room to go so when I get home today I'll fix the choke issue and jet properly and flyyyyyyyy. Thank you
My god chrome just auto dis-oriented the hell outta me.

What kind of formulas do ya'll use to figure out what size the cones need to be for the particular application?
Oh gosh I'll have to cover my humble pipes ears so it's feelings aren't hurt and it doesn't hear the sound of me ordering it's replacement! Ordered the Tecno Circuit from Treats, should be here in a couple days. Now I wait.....
Ah! I had been thinking that 16x45 was stock for the za50 my mistake. I'll look into dropping some teeth in the rear then down to that 35/36 area. Also I have another question. Not sure if I should start another thread for this or not so let me know if I should. Right now I want to lean things out a little and I'm wondering, will a 62 jet with the needle clipped at fully rich will be lean
Ok so I changed back to the 2.22 atomizer and am using a 64 jet with the needle clip fully lean. Now I'm four stoking at about 30 and I bog ever so slightly when rolling on the throttle from a stop. So I'll try dropping down to the 62 and see if I can make it wind out without FSing. The reason I ask about the gearing is because it came with 18x40 gearing on it. Which I'm thinking wil
Maybe I'll just continue with my jank theme and cut and plug the stock pipe. Just kidding! I appreciate the information, I've had my eye on the circuit for a while now but I had really wanted to get this dialed in before putting it on. Oh well everyone seems to have good results with that pipe/carb so I shall proceed in that direction. Any guesses on top speed I'd be looking at with
B b b b b but.. I don't get it. my 1/12/292 carb would've come with a 54 from the factory and I've since drilled it out to 14mm and added a metal mesh filter. Wouldn't both of those things cause me to need to upjet? Also I disassembled la pipa and everything looks clear. There's no blockages but do I need to clean it out further so that the surfaces are clean to the touch?
Quick update.Long story short I went from a 60 jet with needle clipped at full lean (27 on flats and four stroking at 30)to 58 jet with needle still at full lean ( max speed dropped to 25 on flats with no four stroking)so this morning I moved the needle clip to the 2nd position ( 2nd from the richest setting) and my max speed is now 26 with hella four stroking. and way too rich taking off from idl
Choke in Los Angeles is a dedicated moped shop. And the owner Jeff is a total babe/super nice guy that has helped me with my newb questions and sold me many a jet.
I hate air leaks. So so much. I replaced both the carb seals and the intake take gasket and put an o-ring between the carb and intake. I sprayed carb cleaner around on all the places where leaks could happen per Travis tutorials advice on YouTube. I'm gonna figure out how to do a leak down test so I can check the crank seals but the idle is pretty smooth and settled now. I still can't fi
I am in fact a little bit sad with my current set up. But I think there's hope! The pipe I'm running is the stock 2HP maxi cigar. It came on the bike and never had those little blockage pipes. The big round thing and the baffle pipe are all still in there and intact. It also came with a 14mm intake already on it. So right now my setup is this:1/12/292 bing drilled to 14mm2.12A atomizer (I
Hopefully when that happens I'll be a little more knowledgeable and will at least know the difference between air starvation vs fuel when I'm taking off haha! At least now I can change a jet in just a couple minutes now that I've done it 20+ times since getting this moped. I'm gonna throw the 58 in there and see how she likes it.
Haha the way I was going before this ped was a frickin billionaire! If it's me we're talking about then you could say I'm quite "lean"
@ajwasp To answer your question, it was definitely searching. I don't know for what but it was REALLY looking lol now that I've fixed the air leaks (for now) it's much smoother. The opening where the air filter attaches all the way through to where it meets the intake is drilled out to 14mm
