i like to drill a few small holes in my arms too. weigh each one on a scale that goes to 0.1g. makes a world of difference. blue springs + loosing a few grams gets pretty good.fix all the airleaks and figure out proper timing and jetting first of course.

one in mine was brand new. the other new one "got lost" so i used an old one. i re-use them as long as they still look good. oil and spin method. never had one pop out of a running motor, just during installation as noted above.

top end should be ok. get a new crank. look at homeboy's post about smearing crank bearings. big end crank joints are some of the moving-est parts you got.

the oil is from your clutch cover being on whack. try detaching starter cable and kickstand spring before putting it on. i make my own gaskets for those. sometimes i use legit gasket paper, sometimes triscuit box. torque wrench helps too, but you gotta get cool guy hardware. mine occasionally spot after a long ride, but usually fine.

i did some shit like that. new bushing from old crank. pin was tight after so i got some lapping compound on it and un-tightened it a bit. works gud.

have you ever seen a vespa citta? it's the same shape pretty much. tank in the whole main tube, just like yer talkin bout. it has a little breather knob right behind the seat....holy shit, i wonder if it's the right fattness to accomodate the bravo tank(s)????i'm gonna go have a look.....
