Why are derbi's so desirable?
Should i still connect the two wires that originally were soldered to the internal condenser together? like without the condenser there? Where on the ignition wire? Between the ht coil and wiring block?
Anybody got a picture or wiring diagram for mounting an external condenser on a puch? http://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Install_an_external_condensor_on_a_Puch
I got stock points for my puch and have some questions: How do I replace the condenser into the hole on the stator without damaging it? Do I just lightly hammer it in? And if I wanted to switch to a screw on condenser how would I make the two wires that go to it work if it was originally a solder type condenser? Thank You
Installed the condenser on the stator plate and hammered it on with a socket on top
70cc K-star, E50,Tecno Circuit,15 bing, stock points which arc. So when I try to go WOT my moped seems to make a weird electrical noise(if that makes any sense) its like their is a rev limiter in the electrical system. I believe it could be the the arcing points. Thing is, is that I changed the condensor but it still keeps arcing( my soldering for it wasn't really good but the wires make cont
E50, Transfer Matched 70cc K-star kit, hi comp head, Tecno Circuit, 3 shoe aftermarket clutch with kickstart springs, 15 SHA with stock filter, 16x45 gearing ( Not quite sure on the rear gear). The bike tops out at around 40 mph. I've seen tuning spreadsheets and I should at-least be at 45 mph. What am i doing wrong? I've tuned the clutch and gearing for better take off but rather have l
Also what would timing it low to 14 degrees help me for? I mean I'm at around 17 degrees and I haven't overheated.
I've never had the temps close to 400 degrees. I run a temp gauge
15 Bing, 78 jet, New 70cc K-star, Tecno Estoril,70cc Hi-comp head, E50 with Stock electrics/stock points. When I run an 80 jet on my Puch it sounds like 4 stroking at WOT ( I've tried an 86 jet and worked my way down) I've checked the plug and its black with carbon and oily. I've then moved down to a 78 jet and I no longer 4 stroke. It runs nicely at WOT ( I dont really bother with
I did a few plug chops with my puch and this is my plug chop that had no four stroking(the rest of the plugs seemed rich with any higher jet) Using a 15mm Bing Carb with 78 Jet in it, 70cc K-Star, Foam filter instead of those mesh ones and a tecno circuit. Anything above 78 seems to fourstroke and makes the plugs black and oily. My concern is that this plug looks to lean but just right to be at. I

Can someone please put this into the market?

Used a very old base gasket for the transfers then threw that out and used a new one
Thanks for the input people!
I did except for the base gasket that I'm currently using
Okay, I see now. Thank You
I'm that guy that keeps complaining about the excessive carb blowback. So my case is matched to a 70cc K-Star but the gaskets aren't. You know how alot of aftermarket cylinders come with a non matching base gasket ( Which makes me mad and confused). When the ports are open while the piston is at the bottom of the stroke, the gas mixture travels from the crankcase to the transfer ports an
Could you lead me to an O-ring that would fit for my setup? I've tried looking on treats but I don't know how they would work. Thank You
I got the $50 15 Bing Clone with that weird angled intake on treats. I have that common airleak where the carb clamps onto the intake. Any ideas on how to seal it up so no airleak? Thank You
I did but I don't know how much spaced up or down
What's your recommendations on base spacing?
Was wondering where that thread was where this guy made a reed setup that connected ontop of the intake on the cylinder for a K-star?
I'm on a budget but it still kind of upsets me that all the K-Stars do that
So its normal for the k-star to do that? So what you're telling me is that if I alter the intake timing I can stop the blowback?
Yea just want a nice cruiser without getting soaked in gasoline
