I’m gonna check this stuff out this weekend, guys. Thank you so much. I’ll report back and I’ll take some pictures
Hey Daniel, thanks for the reply and sorry for being so late here. I worked on it all weekend. I have a ZA50, sorry my brain was stupid when I wrote that. I did check all those things. Bunch of knowledgeable dudes were helping me and we upjetted a bit and it got a little better but still does it at the very top. They also thought it was fuel starving so we checked all those things too. You got any
My magnum keeps dying when I get really ripping. It really wants to move but then just bogs and starts to turn off. If you let off the throttle a bit, it'll come back sometimes. Other times it acts like it doesn't have any gas when I slow down it dies. It seems to happen mostly in second gear.I took apart the carb and cleaned it today and it's still doing it. My friend said the next
Just in case someone sees this and needs more information. I found this site that sells parts but it has exploded diagrams of all the parts and it was helpful. http://www.mopedjunkyard.com/PUCH_c_203.html
so the engine is fine, I think. Basically, I tore down my maxi to the frame in November, got it all painted and got busy and never had time to put it all back together. I am having trouble remembering where each part goes. I have a whole dang pile of nuts and bolts and washers and I fucked up by not taking pictures. So many rebuilds are concerned about the engine and it's more or less fine. I
So I bought this for my e50 motorhttps://www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=puch-treat-clutch-super-moped&CartID=3I asked Benji at treats about replacing the stock 2 shoe with the clutch above and that the 3 shoe OEM doesn't have a notch for the woodruff key. He said I didn't need the woodruff key. I'm pretty new to all this stuff but this is the only guide I could
Hey Marc,I originally made the post with the images because I thought I might be able to save the holes in the posts. I realize that probably wasn't going to happen. I don't blame anyone but myself. I talked to Benji at treats and they were able to dig up a new OEM clutch plate. This time I'm going to take it to a machine shop and have them line it up and drill for me. Hopefully, wi
If I would have known who Matt is or coulda paid someone to do this for me, I def woulda! I'm gonna try to countersink the posts a bit and see if I can get it locked in
Thanks man! I appreciate the advice. Any pictures you can provide would be very much appreciated.
First, I should say that I'm a pretty big rookie when it comes to working on peds and hardware stuff in general. I've been learning a lot over the last year or so. Anyhow, here's how it went...So I bought the MLM clutch brace from treats along with this OEM puch 3 shoe adjustable clutch with super stiffy springs. I found that I made a mistake but I'm not sure where. Do you guys
how can I replace a fill button on a bing carb. I've lost two of them and I'm about to lose my flippin' mind if I buy another expensive button. Can I plug the hole? Do I stop being a big baby and buy another one? What do you suggest I do?
That's awesome! sorry about your getting stolen. That's great that it came back and you were able to do get it back to mostly new.$400 is about what I was looking to spend. I've been putting money away for moped restoration. So that sounds great!
anyone ever get a puch maxi re-powder coated? I've got lots of lil' chippies coming off mine and there's a big rubbed spot up on the fork. Is this worth it? How much did it cost you if you did this?
