Ahhh ok the euro 3? If I remember right. So no points to worry about. Could be coolant or trans fluid coming over but who knows. Could check your reeds or piston ring/rings depending on the top end. If you can find a way to check compression that’s easier than ripping it all apart. Something like that could be a lot of things. I usually make sure spark is good first, then start with the carb and w
Just to confirm we are talking about a derbi? A lot of times extremely thick white smoke can be gear oil or “trans” oil leaking into the combustion chamber area but definitely not always. But knowing what bike your talking about can help. Cause a lot of bikes that wouldn’t even be possible. What are we working on?Again I will ask about points or your ignition, whatchoo got?If you don’t know some pi
Still on points? Is the smoke very thick and white?
Dang I should start shipping NU50s over the border. I’ve gotten plenty over the years for $50. But they are piled up in fields down here. It’s all market.
South Dakota is relatively lax. No helmet, No Reg, No plate. Insurance is weird cause you are supposed to have it, but you legally aren't required to have any proof of insurance on a moped. I don't know whats up with that, but I have only had insurance on like one of my mopeds over the years. The only thing that sucks is if you want to actually register something they don't really wa
Treats website totally kissed me on the mouth once. We were both away at university and a bit tipsy. We never talked about it after that night. Until now.

I’ve only had interaction with him on that one Facebook thread...( I took the bait to see what he was actually expecting) he was expecting us to buy bikes and just give them to him and he promised to give us some money once they sold... haha like who in the actual fuck would do that. Yeah let me just hand this stranger a truckload of bikes and a stack of titles and wave him off into the sunset.Bu
On the piston port one way for sure. You could make a string type thing work magneto side but the direction the magneto spins on the piston port you won’t be able to use any generic pull start to rig something, they all spin the wrong way unless you modify or find a vintage one that spins the other way. But I’ve have a great experience with the one way on the piston port.
When it was on the original site it was marked as it’s own but it’s the same as the hobbit kit. Not sure why that wasn’t carried over to treats description. Maybe just cause it was a hair tight on the PP crank but nothing most Mopeders can’t handle. That one I put on in the video is still on that bike and working just fine.
Did you watch the video of the piston port one way install?
PsssssssstGrab the hobbit kit on treats. If I remember you just gotta pay attention to direction but the spacer was the same, except some light sanding on the crank. Flat reed one is really just different spacing and opposite direction. The kits on treats are the ones that where on the site with the dead link.
This thread should be buried in OT by now...
Crazy good stuff in this thread, loving it!
I love my mopeds and I love my motorcycles. It’s just different on your moped. I can do super shady shit to my engines and not be afraid, I can confirm most of my friends into getting one, I can work on it without breaking the bank. Rally’s are cool for the most part, see and meet some interesting and cool people. It’s got a community that doesn’t revolve around a brand or style, it just is.But ye
Heartwarming post for the win
This would be great in the wiki!
Put some clear on the cash to seal in the flavor, now this is primarily how it sits. Still going to do some gold vinyls to make it complete, still breaking in and tuning but yeah funMod listtttttCrusty g3 frame and tankBusted crusty flatreedPedal function was busted so friend made the pedal delete spacer, removed guts, filled hole. Do you ever feel like you are just throwing money at a moped? This stupid gas tank felt that way to me. After a bottle of vinegar, two bottles of evaporust, some welds, bondo, and a full por 15 treatment, I felt like it would have been cheaper to just get another tank. But she is clean and holds gas again. So what better way to show my feelings...Also might as well make the back part of the seat m

Womp womp womp, pulled apart the G3 seat I had bought. It had a pretty gnarly hole on one side and found a lot more rust than I was expecting. All the bolts had pretty much rusted away and after a light cleaning I was left with this :( im sure there is a way to save it or use it but I’m ready to ride the damn thing. So rather then sacrificing one of my other G3 seats I tried out this zundapp seat
I’ve been using the one way for Not quite a year meow and has held up perfectly fine through a few rally’s and plenty of daily. I was toldddd (don’t scold me if it ain’t true) but the one way I’ve been using is supposed to be oiled and not greased like the stock. But obviously rpms could just take all that oil away. (It’s just what I was told from the guy who made the set up)(Here is a dumb video

I will say I went the hard way about it and didn’t use the derbi swing arm with it. But a v1 would prob be pretty easy if you take your time. Hardest part is just lining up the chain but if you just cut off the old mounts straight, then just build a “box” around your v1 mounts you should be able to just adjust and weld. Hardest part was the derbi is way off-set and it’s so long I had to cut into t
