1. Getting Tomos VIN

John Berner — 2 years ago
Forum: General Discussion
Might be a weird question, but I'm trying to figure out how to get the full VIN based off of just the six digit number stamped on the engine? I have one of the custom Motomatic Sapporo bikes which never had a title. Wasn't a problem when I was in Seattle and didn't need to register it, but now I'm in Wisconsin and need to get that done, and not having a full VIN or title is a

Definitely. Anything else I should worry about? If it's gonna be sitting there for a year or more I don't want to come back to a rotted out hunk. Hopefully I'd be able to store it at a friend's place that would be able to take care of any occasional maintenence. Only thing I can think of is the tires, but I can't imagine they'd go so flat in that short of a time.

Yeah, figured as much. Might just have to see if I can store it here in Seattle for a while till I end up with a place to keep it safe in Chicago and figure a way to get it out East. Bummed it's gonna just be sitting around for so long.

So I'm one of the guys that won one of the Moto Matic bikes a couple years back. Though I actually rode mine daily and love the thing to death, unfortunately I'm moving from Seattle out to Chicago and the combination of needing money for school, paying a shit ton extra to ship it out there, and my not knowing where the hell I'm gonna live and if I'll be able to store it safely
