I have a 14 bing with an MLM Velocity stack and a #1 Grandpa intake I'd sell as a package if you're interested. Velocity stack and intake are brand new, never even put on a bike.https://www.treatland.tv/treats-puch-15mm-bing-intake-p/number-one-grandpa.htmlhttps://www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MLM-bing-filter-356-stainless^stainless but the non-polished version

I've seen arguments both for and against replacing bearings, but whats the consensus? I'm doing seals and a new con rod, but can all the old bearings stay? They seem to be in good shape. Also, what shims am I gonna need for the crank float and end float? Been searching for a while and can't seem to find a source for those.

This isn't a "what pipe is best" post. I've got a Magnum with a za50 with a 70cc TCCD and a Mikuni VM20. I'm port/transfer matching and pressing a new con rod. What pipe would y'all use if it was you?

My ZA50 is all drained and apart, and will be for a little while. Are there any parts I should soak in anything? Clutches, starter plate, bearings, etc.? Don't want anything drying out on me and blowing up later.

Hey all, I have a puch magnum frame that i'm restoring and the pipe mounting bracket has been chopped off all the way back. There is no longer anywhere to mount a pipe too. wtf do i do?

So i finally got back around to finishing up my magnum for real. Now its time to open up the transmission and swap pucks and flip second clutch. Mostly here for moral support. Is there anything else I should do while I'm in there? Bearings and seals maybe? As far as reshimming goes, is that only in regards to end float? So i leave the shims in between the clutches the same, I just need to shim

When I say that my current setup has below average acceleration. I mean it's straight up horrible. Like 0-30 in 10 or more seconds, more once it's warmed up. Would going with a reed kit fix this, or can I accomplish my goal (45+ and I wanna eat hills) with my current setup +/- some things?
Joe Murphy — 7 years ago
Hmmmm, that's an interesting thought.I'm not super concerned with top speed tbh, 50 is pretty much the fastest I'm comfortable with on a bike this small. How torquey is a polini? Most people I've seen use them for high speed setups. I feel like a reed kit with a 20mm carb would be able to just dump a bunch of fuel and accelerate better and more reliably than the polini. Am I th

For the last couple of months I've been rocking a za50 magnum with a 70cc k star piston port, a 15 bing, and a side bleed estoril. I'm getting about 45 out of it with pretty average to below acceleration and the kit is noisy as hell.I'm looking to fuck around with a piston port kit and a bigger carb, I figured the treats 70cc especiale and a 21mm dellorto clone would be a pretty goo

Ive been thinking about this for a while now, is there any way to mount 2 pipes to a bike, 1 intended for take off, and another intended for top end, with a switch to go from one to the other? In theory I don't see why it wouldn't worK. The closest thing I've ever seen to this was a sliding pipe that forced the powerband into a certain range. Anyone ever thought about/ done this bef

This is fucking awesome. I've been contemplating a pipe that could switch between high revs and torque for a while now. If I can pull together some money I'm getting another pipe to try this with.

If its all flat I might suggest the boss instead. I have one in decent shape if you want it, but research the differences between the two before you pull the trigger on either. The boss sounds more poppy, and the circuit sounds like a chainsaw. The boss is higher quality built and cheaper. If you will be stopping alot, id suggest the circuit, but if you'll be WOT all the way there and back, t

I dont, but that other post looked pretty good. If its a #22, its a hi torque cylinder which i much prefer over the open port series. Make a post for a 14mm Bing and intake, those pop up pretty often. As far as pipes go, the boss will have maybe 3-5 mph better top speed, but take off will suffer quite a bit. The circuit will top out lower, but will get there faster and feel more rippy. What's

The cylinder is the restricted part of the 1hp bikes, the head has no restrictions in it. What you want is a stock 2hp cylinder, 14 Bing, and a techno circuit. If you put a techno boss on a stock cylinder, you'll cry every time you have to start from a stop.
Joe Murphy — 8 years ago
You'll want to deck that cylinder out with some base gaskets so that the piston clears the exhaust port. General consensus is right around 1.2mm of gasket. This will be even more important with the hihi head. Take your intake and exhaust pipe off, then take off your flywheel cover. Rotate the flywheel and look into the exhaust and intake ports to see if the piston is clearing the ports. If it
