Calibrata is great on kits but a stock cylinder will never ever get into its super high power band. Even on the 64cc and smaller kits that fit in the stock cases you have to run super light variator weights (or low gearing on a single speed) to get on the pipe at all. Never run the top one or the gianelli pipes, but proma circuit gives a nice top end boost on a stock cylinder and won't limit

I only really need the big half but I'll buy them as a set if I must. Unmodified (no intake patch grinding, case matching, etc) highly preferred. Let me know how much you want shipped to 60626.

the CB200s are some of my favorite bikes visually from that era. never ridden one, but i love the slightly boxy tank, kinda like a downsized version of the tank off a 400F, but with the rubber trim down the middle of the tank. the stock front brakes are garbage from what i understand, and it's small, but it's probably still a great little around town bike that's obviously going to

pancake pipe and a 14.12 would do 29-30 stock on the ez-rider i had for a minute. not sure of header diameter, or if there are differences between pancake pipes or they're all the same, but i liked the quiet purr it had.

Downsizing the collection of Vespa stuff. Here's what I have. All prices include shipping.-12 pin Mazzucchelli anticipato crank. Used but in good shape. Just the right amount of side to side play at the big end and no up/down play. Threads are ever-so-slightly smeared but I threaded on the variator nut today with no trouble. Bearings installed but I recommend replacing them. $80.-NEW IN

i also agree w/tyler. this is also why i think vespas COULD be competitive at the totfest track if people (ahem) would ride them harder. that track is so twisty that good low end and good brakes matter more than crazy blaster top speed. it'll never dominate, but a wheelie machine vespa with a skilled rider should definitely at least be able to hang!

TFR is gonna stand for Total Fucking Ripper at totfest this year.

i'm curious about the less used vespa pipes also. there are so many of them - simo proline, simo especiale, polini top one - but everyone seems to go for the proma for milder builds and the cali for rippers. my hope for the proline or the top one is that they might rev a little higher than the proma but get into the powerband sooner than the cali. definitely interested to hear how these guys

The Bruces are the worst.

these are great with a mild kit. cheap way to get awesome low end without having to drop the coin on a polini vario.

tccd leaves a bit to be desired on the low end but should still net you 40+ easily with a proma. i ran that setup for a while and it was all right for being a cheap 50cc setup.you can probably also find a used boss or bullet or biturbo for cheap on buy/sell if you want more top end out of the tccd. just gotta tune that clutch for low end.

My winter build is going to be a 46mm Athena on speed cases with a 13 SHA, mazzy crank, polini vario, simo cali. for now, running points and keeping the stock "anticipato" intake duration because it's already something like 190* with the bigger intake patch. The casting on these things is crap and I had to do a lot of cleanup, but it looks pretty good now. I've been too busy w

Corbin B Wrote:> You only need a window open about an inch for> enough ventilation.Problem is that this garage has no windows, and I worry if I crack the door it will let so much cold in that it will defeat the purpose of having a heater at all. It's a single-car space with a low ceiling, so carbon monoxide buildup could happen fairly quickly, I think.

I like wrenching at this time of year when it's about 45 in the evening, but during the real winter, it's too cold in the garage for it to be fun, even with the space heater on.How do y'all heat your garages? I just have a shitty little ceramic heater that doesn't do a whole lot, but I also have limited electrical capacity - I have tripped the breaker by running the space heate

so many lols in that long post about chicago. don't worry about it.if you're driving a car just drive into the city and find overnight street parking. it's not the hardest thing. i live in the city of chicago, own a car, and it lives on the street. don't bother with taking a train in from indiana. unless you're staying in a really rough neighborhood, your car will be safe

proma is a low end pipe but the shorter header will raise the powerband some. biturbo is a top end pipe but will have a bigger ID header than the dinky thing you have on the proma right now.
Simon Nyi — 9 years ago
mike, i want to hold your pipe.
