What's with all the hate? I mean, this dudes Bravo clearly doesn't do 60mph but just because you guys know so much about mopeds doesn't give you the right to tell him that you know a lot about mopeds. IMHO there is no such thing as an "unwanted" vibration.But seriously I have thousands of miles on kitted E50s from kstar to MK80 to Gila. What Jake said. There are dozens of things you can spend $100 that will improve performance more than this, which requires an MIT guy to do math to prove the theory. That is how small the difference is.

Mars you are not seeing the forest for the trees. I agree that reducing the rotating mass of the main gear allows the engine to accelerate through the RPM range more quickly.What you are completely ignoring is that the main gear has a spline at the end of it that sticks out of the case. demsin79 - sorry, i misspoke, not fully engaged, but engaging. still, the overall impact is the same. near zero. the main gear's resistance to turning isn't because it is heavy so hard to turn. the meain gear is DIRECTLY connected to the rear wheel, so the main gear's resistance to turning is the difficult of putting the bike and rider in motion.u dumb.
