I'll keep an eye out for those. I doubt it'd be hard to miss that red and white maxi.

Grrr woke up to find my moped stolen. It's a bright red avanti :/I understand the general hate for them but money is money and it was my main mode of transportation. If it's not much it'd be cool if you guys could keep an eye out or something.Knowing sac though it might as well just turn up into a giant piece of scrap metal or some crackhead's shitty bicyclehttps://sphotos-a.xx

So how much did you get the streetmate for? If anything alot of guys on here will bag on yah just cause it's a streetmate lol but a ped is a pedand like josh was saying that is quite alot. If you know what you're doing you can do it yourself for a fraction of the cost. Also to note low mileage doesn't always = clean and fresh

Congrats on getting the bike back. Its good that nothing physical happened and cops just happened to be there.

It does depend on your market as well but 300-400 is the general market for a running ped. You won't be looking to anything more unless it's a more "rare" model or a top tank moped.

well there IS the option of, you know, not breaking the law if it's something you're so worried about.

those are sexy vintage lookin~ I bet they'll go for a few pretty francs ;P

pretty sure the parts (clutch) are interchangeable with garellis. Treats has some but not for the 2 speeds (VIP) and they are a little pricey.

I have 2 stock Avanti autosports (step through). Avanti's are basically India rehashes of the garelli's so yups. They run pretty smooth and I'm not that hardcore of a mopedhead yet so can't tell you too much aside from that

Sounds a little high to mehttp://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/mcy/3270629285.htmlThese sound nicer plus you get the benefit of getting an authentic vintage ped

Thanks Skittles Kriedler man. I got a decent fullface helm already and basically gonna use the ped as a daily rider

Shitty India clone or not it still rides nice. As a college student I don't have too much free time devoting myself to spending money on parts and fixing the vintage bikes (though I would like to have one). I'm making due with what I gots

Super sweet find. THE MOPED GODS FINALLY SMILE DOWN UPON ME!Not classic vintage peds but super nice at the very least.Picked up these two minty mopeds for 900 bucks (450 a piece)! The old guy wanted 1000 for em but a silver tongue is always useful.Only slight surface rust on the exhaust of the red pedThanks just wanted to share these guys on the forums

There is the one time registration fee which should be 19 bucksInsurance will vary.and if you're looking to get a motorcycle licences you're going to have to take a class on it. The price for the class ranges from about 75-125.Truth be told these things are easily found just looking at the DMV website and using google.

So do I have to take my clothes off also? I always thought the gold grand prixs looked like bananas especially without the bottom fairing. The blue one looks pretty slick also but totally wouldn't mind fabricating or purchasing fairings for it.

I'm a newbie but I do have a bunch of brothers that work in the automotive industries fixing cars and motorcycles.Even though Im a newb I want it and know I have people that can fix it if I don't know how to do something.I've found manuals for the Grand prix and parts so I know how things look.I'm looking to keep the stock look not trying to pimp it out and do anything crazy wi

Lol Carl has it running. he ebuilt the engine and upgraded the reeds. I haven't ridden it yet. There are parts that need to be bought/replaced but as long as it's a running ped I'm happy. I know about the rarity of these guys and already I can tell it has tons of potential. The body faring looks super sweet. I want to see that thing run fast and ride it.

Was wanting to pick up Carl Busby's Bat Grand Prix. Any tips on the bike itself? I know Bats aren't noob friendly but it's running a Peugoet engine which should open many doors for future upgrades. Anyways anyone got any ideas/advice about the bike?
