Thx!Yeah, the digital tach I have must be garbage.Maybe I’ll try it on my motorcycle but that is definitely not anywhere near redlining haha
HahaThx, I just went out and did my gps run…top speed was 41.1 with a stop sign looming…lolSo with 15/45 techno circuit, bing 14 and tuned clutch the verdict seems to be I’m spinning at 9711 rpms according to Marty’s garage. In the danger zone if I keep it up for too long I supposeI gotta say the WOT is pretty rare…I do love the way it climbs with this gear ratio tho’
Just. curiousWhat tach iis everything be using?
Well there seems to be some disagreement but that’s mopeds right?I’ve been running the techno, 70 kit 14 bing for years (not a daily rider) and it’s been fine. I like the 16/45 combo but I really like the extra pep up hills with the 15…anyway, my tach is probably shit so who knows what I’m running rpm wise…Speed runs are generally pretty short around in the suburbs hereAnd a new crank probably wou
What could possibly be wrong with the tach?Just a shitty one?If the pipe won’t let it rev out that much should I not be concerned?Marty’s garage seems about right as far as the gearing/speed seems so the revs should be pretty spot on too correct?Thx
Final setting I have is the 65 jet, screen filter with all screens and then the plastic cover.Seems to give me the best all around performance considering I’m trying to keep temps below 380.Speed run showed me at 40+, low end is really crisp and temps are within reasonThx!
Yeah, I like the pull with the 15/45 but top end could be better…I’m thinking it might hit 40+ but when I saw those rpm’s climbing like that I was like “whoa “!!!Like I said I had a 17/45 on it and it was pretty slow off the line and on hills…top speed was pretty fun tho’ lolSo down the road I guess a new crank would be prudent (maybe this winter!)When the bushing crank goes bye bye what can I exp
Yah that’s what I was thinking but it’s definitely set on 1p1r….Just seems nuts that it’s spinning that fast…think it’s getting interference from a non resister plug? Also idle is sitting at around 1100 which seems kinda rightI’ve used Marty’s garage for gear ratios and if I was pulling those kinda Roma I should be doing like 50…which I know it isn’tThx
my trusty old puch nostalgia.I know it has the bushing crank just wondering if I'm pushing my luck...has a 14 bing, techno pipe and airsal 70 kit.I while back my wife and her friends went bar hopping and the friend riding the puch was struggling on hills...I swapped out the gearing from a 17 front to a 15 front and it is lots peppier on hills but when i wind it out I fear the bushing is takin
So, a couple observations...even after throwing the the smaller jet it it's kinda holding back. I checked my temps with the smaller jet expecting them to be higher but try as I might I couldn't get them to climb above about 340...even went so far as to remove the screens altogether and just use the plastic cover...anyway, probably some of the top end is suffering because I still have the
Well I went ahead and threw a 65 jet in…it definitely has a little more pep!I’ll put my temp gauge on it tomorrow and make sure I’m still good temp wise…it’s supposed to be almost 97 degrees…ugh but a good test for what to expect down the road…
I second the MLM side bleed w/ pedal extender. I've tried a lot of pipes except the doppler on it and this one has been the best...
hey all,i have a sha15 and matching intake on my moby 50v build, just installed the airsal 74cc kit and did the usual to ensure compression is within reason.highest temp I've reached was 380...anyway...I had a dellorto screen w/o the cover on there with a set screw to keep it from falling out. i just picked up a new cover, screen and clip for the carb.I know it's more restrictive and i ca
sorry, this thread is stupid...why is everyone giving this poor guy grief.here's my advice, if you're using a stock crank then the temp is kinda important BUTya don't really need to have one to tune as long as you go slow with your changes.70cc kit with a big fat jet and stock gearing is going to be slow but your revs will kill the kit if you go WOT all the time.get a bigger front sp
I bought one of these slides and had the high idle issue on my pug (gila 70, mlm pipe, Cdi, tuned stock vario, sha 16)I ended up buying the #7 del slide (the one with the big notch at the bottom)Anyway, it’s running better than ever and I can adjust the idle just fine.I’m wondering if maybe this custom slide would work for a reed setup if the bottom notch was completely eliminated so that just the
I finished using the meat thermometer from harbor freight and dissected the probe end. If you pull the gauge away from the probe the little sensor at the end can be snipped and there are 2 solid metal ends that I then jammed down into the trail tech sensor molex (no soldering!). Used electrical tape to make sure the connections don’t come apart.I basically just use a temp gauge after I build somet
I used to have a trailtech temp sensor till the battery died. I just installed a new 74cc airsal kit on my 50V moby and after finding some info here regarding hacking a Harbor Freight meat thermometer into the the sender portion of the trail tech i tried it.Lo and behold...it worked. When I went to install it on the stock moby head it wouldn't fit tho'...I think the fins on the head inter
Thanks everyone...installed the kit on the moby today...I was actually surprised at how well it turned out!no clearance issues at all with the thick base gasket...side transfers clear perfect but the exhaust port is actually below the piston crown at BDC.Actually fired up better than usual which I attribute to the lighter piston in there but what do I know?Got it buttoned up and it fired right up.
Great info all…Thx for all the tips! I’ll give it a go!
Thx jbotI don’t have access to a lathe but the tennis ball idea will work!My wife has a ton of tennis balls hahaAlso, once that’s done and I decide I want to revert back does it mean getting a new head?Thx
I purchased the Airsal 74cc moby kit during a sale at treats. I have a kitted Pug and Puch so I kinda sorta know what I'm doing.Anyway, after reading some of the forum post regarding this kit I'm wondering if I maybe went the wrong direction...The moby is a 50V and has been rock solid for a number of years but does take some effort to get it started until it has been running...then it
My wife is totally down for it...she thinks I'd have fun doing it which is the real point anyway right?I retire at the end of this month but the thought of transporting and renting a space, getting all these bikes organized and then spending the rest of my days cussing and swearing at each little thing that goes wrong is not very appealing to me...I guess it would give me something to do but

Just move to another state...problem solved
rear mount has a big heavy plate that mounts to the existing exhaust mount...then you mount the pipe to that...it's very beefy...no ground clearance issues at all.Not sure about the polini spring...i have the polini exhaust mount that I've used for other pipes (the rubber bushing one) and the plate used for the peoples would be replacing that i think.i'm really impressed with the pe
exact same breaks happened to mine also (also got the chamber rubbing on the belt at full variation)...treats did me up proper and i opted for the MLM sidebleed...https://www.treatland.tv/MLM-peugeot-103-people-s-sidebleed-pipe-p/mlm-peoples-pipe-564.htmso far I'm happy BUT I did have to install the pedal extender for clearance...https://www.treatland.tv/MLM-peugeot-103-people-s-sidebleed-pip
