I appreciate the response... I guess it's just going to keep running at 30 mph for a bit.

4. So I have this 68 Mobylette...

After extensive work I have the thing running. That's the good news! The bad news is it's super slow. My Maxi can kill it. Is it supposed to be that slow? I've never worked on one of these before. It seems to top out around 30mph... And the initial go is also really slow. Is there something I should be checking? Or are these things just slow?

6. 68 Mobylette revving upon startup

UUUUGGGHHHH! I'm really starting to hate this moped! So the original problem was the throttle sticking... So I tore the throttle assembly apart bought new cables and got that all fixed. Now however when I start it up the damn thing revs up like I was pulling back on the throttle. So I assumed that I had the cable too short. I adjusted that and it seems fine. What could be sticking? Does

8. Mobylette throttle question

Yamabe San — 10 years ago
Forum: Performance
So I just purchased a motebecane mobylette and the throttle doesn't seem to return on it's own. I own a Puch and understand the basics but have never worked on a mobylette. Is there a throttle return spring of some sort? Basically I can throttle it up fully but if I want to throttle it down I have to manually roll it back. I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be much
