I just replaced the condensor so idk what it is.
Ive got a 1978 puch maxi kitted which i did months ago and everything is fine there but i recently put a 12 volt coil and a regulator in it. My set up is i took the stock headlight out and replaced it with two round chrome lights and i hooked it up to a switch where the old light switch was that i took out. And i hooked up my brake light also to the 12 volt coil, also the coil goes to my battery t
Im gonna measure exactly how much volts+amps+ watts and post it. But yeah it hooked up nice and i think i got the last one from treats a week ago! Cause i went back on the day after and it said out of stock
Status of lighing coil + regulator= huge success. I wired it all up tucked in all wires neatly wired 12 volt to tail lights along with headlights and bam! Super bright lights all around the machine. Thanks for all the help.

Its a1978 puch maxi on top of the 6 volt head light coil is a 6 volt brake light coil. Then on the other side its all of the Ignition and stuff. Here is a wire diagram http://www.mopedarmy.com/mediawiki/images/b/bb/Stock_puch_wiring_diagram.jpg
The 6 volt coil for the brakes is still on the magneto. Its the grey wire. Im just gona leave it there
My taillights are still 6 volt and i dont have blinkers
Im not running any taillights or blinkers off 12 volt i just need brighter head lights. I almost hit a deer because i didnt see it! But is that what your talking about, the ground is on the new coil soldered on it so i just take it off and solder on another wire for hookup on regulator
Ive got a regulator for it that is 200 watts idk i will figure it out
Yeah its soldered on there right? Then just solder a yellow wire on it
Also where is the ground on the frame?
Oh ok well where do i hook up that yellow wire onto the coil. The coil i have on there has one yellow wire and thats its.

Yeah im gonna leave the ignition alone i just didnt know what floating the ground was but know i understand i think. I just gotta desolder the ground and solder on a longer wire. Thank you

The puch air box is way restrictive. Get a metal mesh filter. Bolts up and go. And get a techno circuit. $70.00 ive got that on my kit

Help!
That things practically running right out of the header. Id throw an exhaust on that thing. Its not good to run a 2 stroke with no back pressure to long.

Ok ken you so wrong. It still runs and drivesgreat and ive taken that engine apart multiple times just to check things out and there great so that was no help
Ok sorry mom, i have a 1978 puch maxi with a treats kstar70 cc bore kit with paz clutch springs 17x40 gearing and a 15mm high flow carb. My question is why is it hard to start now.nit started first kick when i threw it on there now it take a while to get it to go. Its only got 100 miles on it
So my treats 70cc kit used to start first kick and now it doesnt? Could it be air leaks. I havent tried any leak test yet but it takes like 10 kicks to get it to go
