Yew! Steve Lemme know if you're ever in Denver.
People may disagree with me here, but take my opinion for what it is- an opinion.I've painted plenty of rims with out the need to disassemble them. Simply because the bike I was putting them on wasn't worth the effort. I've gone both routes- spray paint and PC. Both worked fine for a cheap solution to a painted rusty rim. However, I have my own PC setup in my backyard running an old
@deadped, Yeah its a D jug but on an A bottom end. The top end sold already. And I'm pretty sure I have a B cylinder laying around somehwere.
$450-$500 is fair. someone will pay you for it. Don't listen to the people who want to tear you down b/c of it. They aren't THAT rare. but they are cool.
Good 505/1A motor. Has spark. Crank is in fine shape. I Have a piston and Jug and intake to go with it too I'm pretty sure - though it may be a B jug? you can have it.. Not assembled, But I guess I could do that. No carb or pipe. Just motor. I think I have a video of it running somehwere..$70 shipped.28mm Clamp on exhaust chamber.$25 shipped. Never even been used. I have a 505/1D header and clamp on 28mm exhaust I am willing to let go of. Would make a great exhaust, just needs to be welded up, As they are both separated parts for now. $55 for both shipped.
Need a vm18. Who's got a spare they can sell me??
yo brian, just noticed you're in central/south florida.I'm up in orlando and I've got TONS of sachs stuff to help you out with if you ever decide to go that route. I've been wrenching on my blaster sachs for long enough to know my way around them pretty well. Lemme know if I can lend a hand.
yeah bro... Because those vintage yamaha 2 stroke motors are a dime a dozen..
determine what motor. Read the wiki page.Sachs can be an awesome bike.. You just have to suffer through everything to get it there. If it isn't a 505/1D motor, Just ask if he'll give it to you, otherwise it's too expensive.
use shorturl.com to make it look like this!http://alturl.com/5zbszseriously though this is actually helpful b/c I could never get it to link correctly
I can only imagine he was riding his '99 MZ Skorpion. It was a cool, pretty rare, german (I think?) twin cylinder 660cc bike. I had never heard of one until he let me ride it one night. It was the perfect bike for Seth, of course it was something none of us had ever heard of. But Seth could practically recite the history of the company for me.
Seth definitely needs a rally named in his honor! It's so great to hear how much someone so positive has influenced everyone's lives. I'm sure the family is smiling through tears reading this.
