85/12/104 is the stock D carb which came stock with a 58 jet. I believe the carb had a 68 jet in it when I sold it.Anyway good luck. Hope you get it ripping!
Alex, what happened to the one that came on the bike when I sold it to you?
I'm toying with parting this thing out. I'd rather do it here than on ebay. what would the individual parts be worth?set of wheels with new tires and tubestankkitted d motorframeetcI would also consider shipping the whole damn thing for the right price.......

How about $75 shipped for both jugs and the intake?
The cylinder walls on both feel and look very smooth. The one has two broken fins as pictured.
Richard,When I get home this evening I will take some better pics of the cylinder walls and note any scoring or broken fins
here is the other one. will sell the intake alone or as a set
I have two Sachs D jugs I'm not using and would rather see them go to a good home than sit in my garage. Not sure what they are worth.... $50 each or best offer shipped to the 48? Feel free to PM me with offers.
email sent. interested in stator
very good info to have. thanks WillD. I'm not even going to waste time with the CDI. I'm gonna just put the stock ignition stuff back on.I've had a stock D on a G3 before that would blast right by this kitted D at the moment
all the air leaks have been fixed. still 28 mph....I'm going to work on the timing some more and see what happens. If no improvement I will go back to the stock points and test.
Went for a test ride and no improvement. Did another leak test and found air leak where the jug meets the case. Went to tighten bolts only to find that two of the case studs have stripped threads.....Ordered 4 new ones from Lucky's. Hopefully fixing that air leak will help.
I think I got the air leak fixed. Haven't been able to test yet.I was thinking about the spark plug...I'm currently running an NGK b9es. Should I drop down to a hotter plug like a b8es?
I retarded the timing a little bit more and started it up to check for air leaks and found one where the intake meets the carb.I've noticed before that the intake on this kit does not fit well with the stock 12mm bing. It won't go all the way in and press against the o-ring.I tried putting a thicker o-ring in and even stacking some but no luck. I am going to try tapping the carb with a
besides being priced ridiculously high, what kind of ped is this? It's hard to tell due to the blurry pics.I'm not interested, just curious.https://tricities.craigslist.org/mcy/d/1974-moped-in-box/6303772683.html
Thanks for the pics. That helps. One question....As far as the Sachs Airsal kit goes does it matter which ring goes on top vs. bottom?
I rebuilt the motor not long ago. I'll spray some carb cleaner around the head gasket while it's running to check for leaks. I did a quickie leak check after install but I'll do a more thorough one.I know for sure the piston is installed correctly because I double and triple checked it before install because I've made that mistake before......!

FWIW I really only want it to go 35 mph as I prefer low end torque (hilly area). I feel like it's very close. I will start with getting it timed correctly then go from there.I may pull the motor this winter and match the transfers at least
I've not done any case matching or porting. I meant to say that upfront but forgot.
I will see if I can borrow a timing light from a friend or just break down and buy one. thanks for the help

I read a previous post of yours that mentioned you drilled out the slots a bit to retard even more?
more info: i've jetted down to 66 and 64 and up to 70 and 72 and it runs the best on 68.I tried the stock airbox and it ran much worse than with the pantyhose
