Here's my list of shitty excuses:The 15* of blow down, I think it needs to be 25* or more.120 psi wet compression. On a stock cylinder this head is at 175psi but raising the cylinder raised the ex port and killed the ccr.The sha is horrible. I can actually feel and hear when the slide passes the hole's in the tube. Gets fat fast like the air correction circuit isn't big enough for t

Check out my crazy wild wizard tuning skillsbest vespa tuner ever! Shoot me now...I haven't lowered the mains yet so I think the 15* of blow down is killing me or I just suck at this haha

I'm not looking to be the best at vespas. I just want to make one of the slowest bikes one of the fastest for the race.let's just say it has very aggressive intake timing and leave it at that

Unhook the ground and it'll stop the Faraday cage effect and make higher voltage
Ryan Mayer — 8 years ago
the shielding reduces emf. emf is a result of voltage but when you loose emf you loose voltage. There's actually articles all over the internet about those wires. Basically it's a inductive resister wire, Like a Z plug, while graphite wires are like a R plug, also resistive plug caps are R type. There is the rare occasion when you must run a resistive cap(non-inductive) when running a di

I think the only way this would work at all is if you ran rediculously high compression and used this for detonation control. And huge favor, if everyone could stop using the word "mod" that'd be great.

Tried it. I cut the top half of a carb off just to use the float bowl. I ran a tube from the cut carb's emulsion tube outlet to a power jet on the real carb. It metered the water/alcohol great. It however just made the bike four stroke.... You'd only need this stuff to control detention if your compression(from forced induction or otherwise) is too high, it does not add power by itself.

So the phva 14mm still has an edge over this sha. The phva has a 18.5 mm outlet and the throat is very short(also easily opened up 1 mm)and the bell mouth is slightly bigger. Maybe a 18.5 intake and phva would be better or maybe the long 15 throat and 16 intake will be better because of velocity. Idk

They're not enforcing a fuel rule but it's like a gentleman's agreement to use 91 in the stock and stock modified classes and i think race gas, av gas, and maybe even alcohol in the three bad ass classes, but no nitro meth or junk like that. If the Bullies have the drag races again as part of their fun races I'll talk them into letting me run the nitrous on it for giggles but n

I need to figure out what jb wont stick to(i usually wrap stuff in scotch tape but i want absolute zero clearance this time) so i can coat the crank in it and then heat the cases, drop the crank in and drip jb between the crank and case while still hot. Maybe wax? This way I think i'll be able to make the port go all the way against the side of the crank, this is as wide as possible i think.

Also got the lowdown on a nos cylinder with dykes ring piston on ebay so I got it and the piston will be put in for the next runs.It looks like the steel insert stops a the chip in the case but it actually goes in a lot further, even past the point where the intake path starts to flare out. So anyone want to throw out some intake numbers?

I had the engine on the dyno and I just can't get any good hp out of it so I finally got a pulley puller and yanked it apart. The seal was half way popped out probably due to nitrous back fires. I drilled and dremeled out the 12mm intake to 13.5 but its only 16mm od so that left the aluminum pretty thin. I got a lathe in the garage soon after and used it to off center bore the stock 7mm SHA

heck yeah. thank you. Can i bother you again to check and see if the wrist pin to edge of the done distance is the same on both?I really want to run a dykes ring piston as i think it'll flutter at a much higher rpm than those 2mm+ fat rings.

Thank you, Tyler.Yeah boost ports don't matter too much if they are fingered, it maybe even more ideal that they are fingered because of the flow angle. On the mains I want to keep as much tea-cup handleness as possible. I'll figure out the area of the main port windows and adjust the runner taper as needed but I'm going to have to get creative for more flow after that. I cant add

I dyno'd it with just the exhaust port done and set to 175*, no gain....However the squish's gap was way too big so that might of had something to do with it.So then I added the boost ports. The ring ends ride on the island strips. I still need to lower the mains with epoxy and dyno again but that'll be another day. I'm going to order a puller and the correct pressure transduc

a temp gauge will only let you know you've been detonating for a while, do the kill switch trick for immediate indication. Down hill seize sounds like an air leak, engine is being forced to spin so fast it wants to breath more than the carb can handle and so it'll pull air from anywhere it can, having the carb closed makes it pull even more air through an air leak. And wasn't that p

927 is what i run on anything hopped up. I say 'hopped up' because the higher the hp the more primary and secondary thrust there is, thus more cylinder friction for a given amount of time therefore requiring a oil to not vaporize or burn as easily. Easy to understand but running too cold on a oil meant for high heat has ill affects too. I seen a new owner of a stock bike ride for a month

castor is good stuff. maybe people in the old days had build up because they were using refrigerator castor oil with no ash, heavy metals that when burnt burn the deposits away;) any new two stroke specific castor doesnt have build up issues, only the build up of ****** repeating garbage info

yeah i kinda think your right. a finger port dumping into a transfer port would screw up the direction of flow i think but maybe not. I don't know. I think there will three finger ports, not counting any that dump into the main transfers. I think the two finger ports closest to the mains will have roof angles similar to that of the main transfers, effectively making them small open transfer p

i have about 7 into the decking and making the spacer. another 3 or so into the exhuast port and passage. i have hours and hours to go.....i didnt raise the ex port when porting nor will i lower it to match the piston at bdc. ive actually noticed a decrease in hp when lowering the ex port to match the piston at bdc on other engines. that and combined with limited exhaust passage area make it impra

so if you didnt notice from the pictures before its decked past the top fin. then i spent a little time matching the ports. i half assed the exhaust port, in my defense getting around that bend in the exhaust passage is a nightmare. lop sided exhaust port for a lopsided cylinder..... and then i hogged out the exhaust passage itself. i dont think i can go much bigger on the port because the area o

tapped the decomp hole and installed a bolt all the way to the exhaust port, shaved flush. Decked it. Made a spacer.175*ex right now but I'm going to shave the spacer to bring it down to 170*. Then finalize deck height and then w port or auxiliary port the exhaust and add some finger ports.
