Gonna retry the timing I’m using a pull start on a hobbit and it’s turning it clockwise so I don’t think that would be the issue. But thanks!
Follow up, could a tiny hair of space between the reeds and the block at the tip of the reed be a cause of that? Like it’s not causing a seal? So when the engine is turning instead of creating a seal and sucking the reeds open, it’s instead pushing air through that little hair of space and pushing the gas back out of the carb?
So I’ve just put my engine together with new reeds, bright blue spark, compression is at 120, starting fluid, so fuel shouldn’t be the issue. Timing should be atleast close enough to get a chug. But I’m getting nothing at all, and every spin of the engine I’m getting spit or gasMist coming out of the carb, but I’m wondering if it’s something with the reeds not opening up maybe? Seems so strange. T
Haha yes the add on is purely cosmetic unfortunately. I started it 8 years ago and that was way beyond my skill set then
Yessssss, ssxl I welded the tank and seat pan together, and then made a mold of foam just fiberglassed over it all. The entire tank and seat comes off in one piece
Not a tomos but I just cut a piece of foam and made the custom bump out of fiberglass on this

You have any issues with the pull start? Like if I got a head with no decomp, think it would be a nightmare to pull start it?
Hey all, I use to have an e50 like 10 years ago with an hpi cdi on it, and the lights were fucking awful, the coil never put out enough power. I was wondering if I put one on my hobbit, is the light power output still an issue with these? Or has that situation improved? Thanks.
