Yep I'm aware. just looking for some used stuff to save cash. They're ratty budget projects so I'd rather go the used route.

looking for a full tomos clutch or if anybody has any clutch segments i would take those. could also go for the two gears in the transmission and some bolts to the tranny cover if anybody has clutch stuff and wants to include them. thanks.

sorry by the way, and thanks to all my friends for sticking up for me, but it's understandable why you're pissed. and thank you to lis for letting me know this exists haha

ay dog, didn't even read everything said yet, i just got home and i'm heading out again in a minute. my friend just told me there was something about me on MA. i shipped your engine out, don't know why it's not there yet. if you already have a replacement and don't want it anymore, i'll refund you and you can just send it back when it gets there, or you can just wait,

are you absolutely sure your timing is fine?
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
the spreadsheet has set ups pretty similar to yours. that gap is probly exactly where you need to be

can't hurt to check for leaks
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
i grew up around boats and my dad worked on engines, he taught me everything with an engine is a girl and is most likely a bitch
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
i do, but i don't have pictures at the moment. my favorite's name is Lobelia. will do some show and tell tomorrow

i'm thinking the engine just isn't sucking gas through. check all your seals maybe
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
first off, traditionally, anything with an engine is a woman. second, it's bad luck to change the name of a vehicle.
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
no
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
well that's a big engine, but it's a two stroke, it's probly built for way higher revs. just jet accordingly and you should be good
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
try what mars is saying, that's basically what i was getting at.
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
sometimes it will take a lot of effort to make it even pop if it's too rich, what size jet were you running in the stock carb?
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
i'm running a 70cc polini with a 90 jet, and you can use whatever pipe you want as long as it's meant for a two stroke bike. they need the back pressure and the expansion chamber is necessary for performance.
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
ya maybe, if i'm jetted slightly too rich with the stock carb, my bike won't start
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
sounds like it's just not trying to suck the gas in
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
so have you determined whether gas is making it into your engine or is it stopping before the reeds? are the reeds wet when you disassemble? when you take off the reeds/intake feel inside your engine to see if it's wet. your timing might be way off, who knows.
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
it's actually kind of funny, i was running two condensers because i did an engine swap, where in my engine i already had a condenser, and then the new bike had an external condenser on the coil, and i ran it for a while like that, so i'll just try disconnecting one and leave the other.
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
i've been through the flywheel/electrical a bunch of times. i think i'm just gonna try to time it again and try a different condenser
Nathaniel Almeida — 11 years ago
ya that's what i figured, but after setting my timing a million times i feel like it's not.
