Apparently the dernies used by the UCI use old puch engines. Go figure. For those of you who don't know what a derny is, it's a moped used for pacing keirin races.

The colors are so off that it feels like I'm tripping acid or something. I like the cool effect, but could you post a nice brightly lit picture with accurate colors and good lighting?Totally awesome bike.

I hope it comes with warranty, someone that would drop $2500 on a moped is going to know very much about fixing these. Just saying, please try not to screw some newbie over.

Your engine hasn't broken in yet. Try running with no oil added in your gas or a very small ratio like 250:1 and run it wide open throttle in a lean setting, for about 20-30 minutes so it breaks in the rings and the cylinder walls. Best way of breaking in a kit is to run WOT without any oil added. Once broken in, then tune.

Mine did the same thing until I overfilled the trans fluid to 13oz, it's a long shot but who knows?

Flipped clutch won't add to the top mph.I think you may have a timing issue. I'm surprised no one has mentioned timing but check your points.Edit: oops others have mentioned timing... my apologies to everyone who did mention.

Yep you're absolutely right. Anyway to prevent it from wearing down further?

Well, I made it happen. I pulled down the stator towards the bottom with a screwdriver then screwed the stator in the slot. Seems a little janky but did the trick. Thanks everyone. (and yeah the keyway and slot seems a little fucked as the gap isn't opening bigger than 1mm even if I tried to widen it senselessly. But now it's gapped pretty good.)

Although I'm not exactly sure of the chances of you actually going through with this plan but if there's a chase van I'm so fucking in.
