I'll let you know after I try it!
I intended to paint them all black, but didnt have the high temp paint when the time came. I still may do it though! Its funny too, some of the BEST color combos for mopeds are actually the colors found on old milk trucks -- thats what I based this one one. I also am considering adding rust/burnt orange pinstripes to it.
This one's located here in the US
Theyre asking $600 for it. It's just not one I've come across before and dont want to end up needing parts down the road that are simply not out there. It's nice looking, and right now runs great -- just trying to anticipate whats going to happen down the road -- it IS a moped after all!
I've come across a Zundapp moped from I believe the late 70's - waiting on exact year/model as I write this. (Pic Attached) From what I'm being told its running fine and has no issues. Does anyone have any experience with these? What I'm trying to find out is #1, its approx value, and #2 does anyone have ANY info on parts availibilty?
Just finished up this project and felt like showing the world the result of my work.
You might not believe this, but here's one for the books! I re-gapped the spark plug 4 thousandths wider in an attempt to get a hotter spark, and that did the trick! It now runs wide open without bogging, and my speed has increased to 34-35 ---- on a stick e50 no less! It seems full throttle was drowning out the spark! Thanks for your time everyone!
I know at first glance this will sound strange, but do it anyway!Test your tailight bulb and make SURE its working...also disconnect your horn and tape the two leads together temporarily, and try and start it. These both run off the ignition circuit and more than once I have seen them be the issue!
Yup, mine's a 64 too. At 1 1/4 turns out on the set screw its running perfectly to be honest. And as I said earlier its running 31-32mph at 3/4 throttle. And this is a totally stock setup, so I'm not bitching at 31-32. Above 3/4 throttle it begins to bog right down until I drop back to 3/4 throttle again and it goes right back to running like a dream. What I am wondering is whether I h
I'm already doing 32......no need to worry about 25.I had heard somewhere or another that e50's with 14mm bing have had issues with the carb providing too much fuel at wide open throttle and bogging down because of it...is this true?
Picked up a running 79 Freespirit (e50) for $150. A couple months and another $150 later here I am with a totally stock, intact, all -original, complete Freespirit I'm very proud of -- hell it even has that damned strap on the bookrack!Noticed something a bit strange riding it however, and am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.I can peg the 30mph speedo at 3/4 throttle, b
Thanks Moby, I was actually looking at that pair!
No, one of mine has stripped threads. My problem is that you cant find "Freespirit" pedal arms --- so I need to know the Puch equivalent of what they are so I can get myself a new set.
I have a 79 Freespirit and need to know what, if any, pedal arms I can buy that are long enough and will clear the sidecovers -- Magnum maybe? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thats cause I couldnt figure out how to edit my post here.....600 is the correct price.
sorry...750 or best REASONABLE offer.......

Anyone out there have a Freespirit seat or info on a suitable replacement that doesnt involve 3 days of modifications?Or is there anyone who can re-cover an existing one that has torn fabric but is otherwise intact?
Are you taking about the two plastic sidecovers --- with three screws each that cover the entire engine and chain area? I'm interested in those, the speedo, and the flywheel cover! Also in the market for the throttle and the seat if in good condition and available!
Either try to send email again, or turn on your AOL...I'm trying to contact you there too.....
