It was the "looks like it came off the line... 30,000 miles" that blew my mind. But to attempt to anwser OP's question. It's all about local market value. In CA Bay Area, maybe $600- $800. AZ.. not sure maybe $300-$400.. I duno, I've seen jank peds sell for the same as mint. Go figure.
^I kinda get what you're saying, but a lot of people are now running INSANELY torquey engines and they are ripping through clutches. It happens.I love this thread and I'm glad it keeps popping back up. Even without 77 updates, but just e50 clutch performance hypothesis.
WOAH. Yeah, I'll be all into a an E50 or ZA50, if this is split.
HOTZ. Love what you did with the seat.
There's absolutely ZERO hope for any actual progress in this country unless people can understand that the 24 hour Cable News networks have created this fucking political charade. It's ridiculous. Can we all somewhat agree, liberal or conservative, that this entertainment charade of pundits have damaged our history of democracy. I'd hope to believe that at the hearts of my political
I just want to say Steve Jobs was an amazing person. I don't care if you liked what Apple achieved or if you don't like their products. Let's all pay respects to what he envisioned and accomplished. The Apple Company, is all I have ever really known. I was born in 1985 to an Apple engineer and we moved to Cupertino when I was 1 years old. My father believed in this company and so di
Damn, those wheels are purty. I have the same "newer" 5 stars. Never cleaned them up towards anything like that..
I got a front rim. It's in great shape.
AWESOME! I saw that last night right after it posted and I was like "ah I don't need another beat up magnum." Glad you guys grabbed it!
Snatching that xk from the east bay? Good luck with that, definitely remove the tank. I've never done it, but I can imagine this distinct smell of gasoline might piss commuters off. I'd call a friend with a truck.
Shop at treatland and 1977 Mopeds. Have funz.
http://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Disassemble_a_Puch_ZA50_Engine..ah I seehmm, here are some service manuals. Wiki has a few links to some videos you can check out too.http://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Puch_Workshop_Manuals
58mph @ 16x40 on my Polini Magnum. Haven't geared any taller than that. Really don't need to.
It's always parked around union square, I know that much..
So, welcome first off. Basically you're looking at a few peds here in the bay area that both have the E50 puch engine. Great choice for your first moped. They both are pretty stock (good thing for a new rider) and at a nice price range for the bay. I'm more partial to the swinger/pintos because I love the removable tanks and tube frames, but they look like a couple great mopeds. Just rea
Pop the air filter off and check that the carb slide is resting on the idle adjustment screw when your throttle is closed. If thats all in check, then find that air leak. A nasty intake leak will make it near impossible to set a good idle.
I'm never letting go of my MLM Rev-run.
Well, 200lbs ain't that big. But if you want all-around power get an estoril.
WOW. I normally just ignore these posts, but I feel the need to say something.Face it, you are getting all worked up and YOU are making this worse for yourself.First off all, EVERY chain you're going to buy is going to have to be cut and adjusted. That's the way it is, buy a chain breaker. All of us here aren't bitch'n about it. We actually enjoy doing the dirty work it takes t
I was trying everything to stop the "death rattle." I laid back the timing, colder plugs, higher octane, etc. Then I threw on an extra stock head I found in my garage. Problem solved.
Switch to the stock lower-comp head. Trust me, I was having detonation issues with this kit once my pipe was hitting. Now it's smooth as butter up into the powerband.
So I keep seeing this "death rattle" term in these threads. Can someone confirm that death rattle is pre-ignition? I have a bike that can't seem to shake that same rattle noise once the pipe is hitting. I'm pretty sure the increased compression is probably the culprit. Someone share le knowledge..
It's not that absurd for the SF market. If you want a magnum, I'd suggest looking outside the bay area. Find a junker and spend the time and money to fix it up.
