Would you want to hook it up to a hand lever or something that you can push down with your foot and then release. Something like the rear brake or shift lever on a motorcycle?Sounds like a cool idea and would love to see it built up.

Without attempting to start it I would say no more than $100. Again this is without seeing the bike. Then again it depends on where you are located.
Aron Chaudiere — 5 years ago
That is completely dependent on why the bike was parked in the first place.

Look at Sheldon Brown's webpage for the best lacing tutorial. He is right that you must do all the spokes who's head points towards the outside of the hub first. Otherwise you will have a tough time getting these in after the fact.Lacing wheels can be fun but does take practice before you are good at it. Go slow the first time and make small adjustments.

I love the rear rack on that Bravo.

The one factor that sets this apart from the motors I am seeing in research is that the pedal shaft is above the tip of the clutch cover not in line with it like that motor pictured ^.

Crankcase and gas tank open to the air... Hope it hasn't been sitting like that too long.It depends on how bad you want a Magnum if that's a good deal or not.

Get aPolini kit14:12 SHAPuch Techno ciruit pipe.I would leave the gearing stock or go up 1-2 teeth in the front or down 4 or so in the back.I said to use a puch pipe because they mount right up and just need simple custom brackets for added support.Circuit pipes generally have better low end and mid in my experience for pulling hills. Also circuit pipes seem to be non existent for V1's at the

^I second that. Just because it ran, we don't know what the condition of the internals are.If you pulled it all apart and rebuilt it with new seals and bearings then it might be worth $300. Might be.

Sounds like someone wants to ride centuries on their bicycle but isn't in good enough shape to do so!

So are you looking at what kind of maintenance you should be doing? How you can make it faster?I'm confused what info you are looking for.

Well someone had drilled a hole in the header of my stock pipe and threaded a bolt into it... Why I will never know.
Aron Chaudiere — 5 years ago
On the stock cylinder it doesn't seem to be any slower than the two other stock bikes I have ridden with a proma.Maybe they are doing something wrong, I don't know. If it were kitted I could see spending the extra $50 because the chamber is tiny.

I just finished up some mods on a Hobbit I have been working on. I noticed that the Jamacrol pipe for the Hobbit gets a lot of hate so I wanted to post a thread for anyone considering getting it.Everyone says get the proma. I have ridden two bikes with the proma and yes it is great. That being said, here are my reasons for not getting it.1) this is not my main bike2) I never plan on kitting it3)

Interested to see how long it will last. If it truly drops in and wires up then it's already set up as a 12/6v DC bulb. Most times with out external rectification these types of set ups only last so long.

Guide to Blaster mopedsIf you built it:ride it like you stole itIf you stole it:ride it like you built itNah all jokes aside, nice write up. Not my technique but will definitely take some tips away from this. I also like your idea of running re-torquing and so on.

Just as some added info. The crank spins free and smooth. The piston slides smooth through the cylinder. It has a few small dents on top from getting it unstuck with a socket, but nothing that will hurt performance. The clutch spring is a little bent up but maybe still usable. Bearings in case are no good (figured that is a given) because they are old and original. There is no reed block included.
