78 main with a stock pipe. 80-82 with a pipe. Needle clip in the center. May need an 84 or larger if you changed the air intake at all. Half turn in on the air screw and use the screw to tune top end or minor bogs from take-off. Let us know what worked. What sea level are you at? This worked at sea level for me with the same setup. Let us know top end too. Did you keep stock gearing?
Higher octane does not mean more power. Nothing to do with power. It is simply a gauge of how fast the fuel burns. Higher compression will require more octane as stated in other replies. In most cases the higher octane fuel is a better grade and wont leave the deposits of the cheaper\lower octane fuel. If it runs on 87 fine, you will not see any increase in power from 93. Or 100 for that matter. A
Well, its done. Called the Tomos dealer and talked with the mechanic. He recommended 80-90w Bel-Ray gear oil. That is what it got, time will tell.Remove plastic side cover. Remove air filter assembly. Fill hole at the top, level check screw on the side and drain on the bottom. Got it hot and drained the oil/atf, whatever was in there was dirty at 200 miles and showed clutch fiber burn in the last
Here I am thinking that there is two different fills. Is there one for the lower end and one for the drive? Drive and the crankcase is the same thing? I'm confused.
Ok, I have changed oil a million times on different bikes. I am looking in the manual and it looks like you have to remove the drain plug and a couple screws on the case. Anyone dont this yet? Gear oil or 10w40? Any tricks I should know? Thanks in advance,Eric in Mi.

Hi Eric,I'm Eric, cool name. Anyway, I saw your post and need a scooter for my wife. Can you send me some more pics please? I am in Trenton, Mi. Anything else you can tell me about it?Thanks!Eric
Would you go almost 50mph on a Honda MB5 already stickered in Mi for about $650? If so, email me.
Liberal? Are we still conquering the Wild West? You quote a bunch of crap from WW2 and 3rd world countries. We have the right to own a gun. The NRA will lobby for this forever. It doesn't mean you use the gun to harm others. Or pull it it on a moped for Christ sake.Ever hear of Great Britain? No guns there unless you keep it in a locker at a shooting range. The police don't even carry th
I second the grill cover idea. As far as condensation goes, I cover the bike with two towels and then the grill cover. The towels absorb any moisture. A paper towel over your instruments will also stop any fogging. Works nice.Eric in Mi.
Cool! If you dont mind a few more people on your next ride, please email me and we could drive down. We ride all winter here on the ice and snow.Eric
Nice pics of the ride! No one even looked cold. How far are you guys from the Mi/Ohio I-75 Toledo border?Eric in Mi.
Taxicab confessions!! Did you use a black-light to check for samples next to the porn?
30+ mpg on my Sidekick. Same truck only with the Suzuki badge. 131,000 miles on mine and still going strong. We put our expired moped stickers on the rear bumper for laughs. Other than all the rattles, wind noise and windows that wont go up and down, they are great rides.Eric in Mi.
I wonder how far the apple has fallen from the tree. Looks like a short road trip and I need some good beer anyway. I wonder what Dad has to say about his dear son. One dad to another may be able to keep him off the site. Perhaps dad and my posse can chat over an Upper Canada Ale and eradicate him from the site. Have dad all ready and proper for the visit. Tell him we are coming so mom can get out
http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcy/881986805.htmlHere is one in Mi. Most likely get it for less than $1200 too.
Since you are not going to fill or use Sta-Bil try the WD40 or 3in1. I have the same problem in Mi. and the gas is bad here too. You dont need to spray a whole bunch either. Just mist spray it and put the cap on right away. You will notice when the can discharges, it fogs the tank well. I do a couple sprays every two months and not only is the gas usually ok, the tank does not rust. Gas has a self
Amazing! Nice job! I wish more people paid attention and had the balls to recover a ped. Kudos!Eric in Mi.
Thanks Its just a new copy with Honda graphics and the side badges I made on an ink-jet. I have a 72 blue one that has many hours of work in it. It doesnt look this good but close and its an original.
The idea is sound. Would be a blast to get everyone together. One person came up with an idea and that was to raise money. You could get some local shops to sponsor the event. The first year would be a money loser but once advertisers and businesses seen all the people as customers, bars would have bands and food, you could have 10 stops on a ride and never pay for anything along the way. Really g
Guilty, it was me. I was searching for a petcock bowl and ended up back at my favorite site. Then seen someone mentioned FrigFeed at RCM and had to put in my 2 cents.Eric in Mi.
FrigFeed is the worst! I had one shipped to me and it was a wreck. I contacted FrigFeed and he was a real arse!! I sent it back to him and called my credit card company to sort out the mess. After two months he refunded my card. His wife is as big an arse as he is. I ended up buying one from a guy who had one in Indiana and paid $350 with 127 miles on it. It was perfect and still is. Now with 3400
MX full face could be a choice too. You will need glasses or goggles but they are light-weight and breathe better than a shielded full face. I use a Shoei in the cold and a Bell Moto in the summer.
Will watch for it in Mi and Craigslist. Sorry man, thieves suck. I say we castrate them all.Eric in Mi.
