Any reason why the left side is a long steel sleeve and the right is plastic ? I take it i can use 2 plastic 20mm bushings for both sides ?
Lots of play and been looking at diagrams of Maxi frames because their the only ones i could find-one is a long metal sleeve bushing that goes in the long snout left side i presume ? The right side has a plastic one i presume ? The pedal shaft has the wavy washer up against the back on the right side-diagram for maxi is showing a cupped and regular washer on right side. A diagram and the correct w
Running a new front 15t treats sprocket, original 45t rear, magnum style tensioners, new chain-adjust chain tension with 3/4 upward play. Chain will get loose and get tight as wheel spins. Wheel doesn't really appear to be bent-maybe bad rear sprocket or defective front ? Did the same thing with the old chain-Driving me crazy
I've been looking at the cranks from 1977-the classic universal 143mm and the shorty which are actually 6'' and longer, anyone have any recommendations to be close to my originals ?
I need to replace the pedal cranks and these come with magnum cranks which treats has been out of-any pedal cranks out there that will work well with the 260mm pedal shaft or change out for a 200mm maxi shaft and shorter cranks-i'm running a techno boss pipe btw ? Thanks Marty

Not to hijack your thread but wondering if anyone knows if the variator can be too tight on the crank-no side to side movement ? Also is it possible to overgrease through the grease nerk or will it start coming out from somewhere when full ? I greased before installing til grease started coming out of the hole in the crank. I'm having issues with clutch chatter like it's dragging after a

Maroon red side cover variator side and plastic carb airbox-held on by nut not spring ? Thanks Marty
Also anyone know what size and length the variator cover/shield bolts are ?
The only fasteners on this is the large reverse thread nut on the backside and the small nut on the end of the crank, everything else is pressed and has springs-am i missing something here ?
What do I need to do to install this on my bike-this bike was missing everything-I bought the 2 shims and circlips-special extra small snap ring pliers ? It doesn't have the grease fitting with it-size ? I take it the bearing already comes in there because it looks like everything is pre greased ? I've read it needs tightened up-torque specs ? Do I have to regrease by the fitting once ev

My goal is to run 50mph and not blow it up-is 10k rpm safe territory on a low mileage stock bottom end ?
What were you topping out at ? I'm already running blue springs as well, seems to give me enough slip
I'm running 15/45 gearing now but is wound pretty tight above 30mph, i want good topend and not lose all my low end-i ran a 16/36 years ago on a similar setup and had no lowend and wouldnt wind out all the way on topend-recommendations and i'm 225lbs
Magnum/free spirit left side cover-carb side, free spirit seat, magnum air filter-let me know what you have
