Sent you a PM. I can come by more or less anytime to take a look at that bike. Thanks!
Hi everyone,Thought I'd pick the collective brain on here.I had a quick break between work meetings earlier...so I went downstairs to my basement to take a look and removed the cylinder and head off of a stock Start 5 I have. Ordered the usual parts from Treats, but just by first impressions it seems that the castings on the Start 5 are much closer to the transfers with a thin wall thickness.
I'm interested...sending email now.Larry -
For those who want to do their best Chad Burke impression...Cool bike.
Well...this is fun kids.Should I point out this ad was listed back in 2019? Probably sold a while ago already.
Haha, it's all good Graham.I've been turning the basement in my new house into a small moped workshop so I can tinker. Garage is for the cars and motorcycles. My wife came downstairs the other day, looked at me, said "what the fuck?" then just turned around and went back upstairs. I don't think she realized just how much stuff I've been hoarding for the past 15 years
Very cool.I've been doing the same but to a Start3. I have two of them, so I'm going to keep one mild with a old school 70cc MetraKit for the short stroke start 3 and I have another that I filled in the cylinder studs and moved for the Stage6 kit.
Man...I love a few sets of these older Derbi decals
You can pick a lot of different options from Buchanan’s they’re great.I’m sending them my powdered Derbi rear and they’re making new spokes to fit the Excel I’m using. They’ve been doing this for forever so they can make different swaged spokes in the event you need larger nipples like for dimpled excels etc. really really good work from them. Once they get your hub, I usually get the stuff back I

Hi Everyone,It's the season of giving so I thought I'd pass on and part with a lot of my Derbi hoarding as I decided to go a different route with my Variant build. I'd rather see other bikes going back together as I don't need this many spares. I originally was going to rebuild my flatreed mildly, so I purchased everything to do so...then came across two motors courtesy of the
I Iike to see that we all lurk the same websites...I’ve been looking to buy that reed block and his crankcase stuffer.Once again...can’t knock the prices. If I were to CNC that thing...the billet alone would cost me about $100. Path of least resistance...Blake, any idea when those start 3 cranks will be coming in? I sent an email a few weeks ago...but realized I never said to hold one for me to bu
