Stock is ideal. Not building the engine up. But I could swing performance depending on kind and what not.
Anybody around Detroit metro have a decent crank for a 50v?Im doing a rebuild and my threads are jacked for the nuts. Ordered new crank but decided to use it on another engine.Name your price would like to pick up today. Thanks!
I just tried to get the a set of seals in. I managed to get them in but bent the top metal ring will it make a big difference if the metal is bend but the rubber seal looks fine?
Variator. I need to take this crank out because the threads are trashed and i cant tighten the nut on the cam side. So i figured this would be a good time to do new crank seals, bearings and all the good stuff.I thought i had a tool set that i could get to work but I cant find the set.
I may end up doing that. Im just impatient and bored looking to get one to have something to do this weekend....
Does anybody have the tool to pull the clutch drum off the crankshaft on a moby 50v?Replacing crank and need to get the variator off.Detroit/annarbor or surrounding areas preferably because I would like to drive to pick it up today if possible.Thank you
Looking for an av7 bottom end with a clutch. In michigan downriver area a plus so i can pick up.
This should help i also found out that when i use both brakes it also kills the bike
Just instslled a battery to operate turn signals but when i go to use them left or right the whole moped shuts off and acts like a kill switch. Alsio the rear light and stop lights dont work.... Ive been trying to see if theres a short to ground or a short to make it quit some way anybody have similar problem?
You have no idea what your talking about man. How about you show some class. Anybody else have an sides?
I dont want the black aftermarket ones you have to cut to make work. If i did i would buy them from treats.
Need both sides. Anybody? Im in detroit.
Thanks. Know where i can find a battery?
The threads on my crank on my stock bottom end were stripped partially previous to me taking it apart. I put a 70cc kit on and noticed this. It worked for awile but then came out of timing so when i went to adjust it the threads stripped out completly. Also the nut is stripped out to. I tried findin a reverse thread tap but that didnt work. I have a replacement nut that has a bolt shape on the end
Im fixing this for a friend and i got it running no problem. The head light works but the turn signal, horn, brake light etc does not work. In the back in the one storage compartment it looks like a hook up for a battery and im just wondering if all that runs off the battery when you run it? Because the battery is missing and then I would also need help locating one.
i had the same problem. what i got to work today was make an account and sign into it. Then when ure sighned into it make a post it should automatically be posted without u even having to publish it.it worked for me
im gona recheck the timing, a dellorto 15.15, and the exhaust should be clear i checked before installing it, but maybe ill check again
sadly ive been on here before about this multiple times.but ive been racking my brain for awile with this damn thinga 1980 motobecane-new parma kit with all new gaskets all the way around good compression-new dellorto carb-has real good spark-malossi short intake, snug all the way around with no leaks-new premium gas and fresh lucas oil
what jet should i use with a sha 15.15 on a 70cc parmakit motobecane
what type of jet should i use in a dellorto 12 14 for a motobecane
do i have to take the whole variator apart to do that?
i heard somewhere that if u put a dellorto on a motobecane, that to get full power u take a ball baering out of the clutch?like the ones that spin out to make it switch speeds more or less?
where can i get replacement top engine bushings for a motobecane 50v.i mean like at a parts store. i dont like buying things online.are there any tricks to these to make or buy them????thanks
you need to hold the decompression lever in while getting the engine going, once its spinning let it go and it should start.the decompression is on the right handle bar under the throttle.depending on where u are u may need to hold the choke in, which is left side lever while starting.
maybe cause its so cold?maybe since the air to fuel mixture wont be right at his temp?hmmm
true, i think i just have OCD about fixing things.to me if its not perfect, its not fixed but ill just have to deal with it lol
sweet. i know they suck. cause my 50v leaks out the intake if its sits for more then a day. lolbut idk y it leaks from the exhaust while running that dont make sense to me???
do what pf said, i just did one myself with same problem.also seal where it bolts to the inlet pipe with gasket maker to seal airleaks.i did it to both of mine and it fixed both of them.clean and sealed is ideal
