So I was looking on Treatland's website and they have a Simonini Pipe specifically designed for my FA50. This is a '87 and has been sitting for a number of years. I cleaned the carb and am awaiting a battery I've ordered. I can get her running after repeated attempts at kick-starting cold and she tops out at around 27 mph.I've got a two part question for anyone who can help. Wi

So I recently got a 1987 Suzuki FA50 that has been in a barn about ten years. Needless to say it doesn't turn over. I flushed the transmission, oil, and gas tanks, cleaned them and replaced all connection hoses and replaced the spark plug. I try to start the moped, the kick-start and spark plug seem to perform as planned, it's getting fuel but won't turn over and towards the bottom

The float just seemed to be stuck, a few taps with a rubber mallet took care of the crust and got it moving again. That also took care of the problem of it shutting off while idle. Thanks for the help!
I've gotten my '87 'ped from a barn to almost ready to hit the streets of Grand Rapids but I'm wondering about my carb. I cleaned the carb and replaced the fuel lines and got her running really smooth, but now when I'm idle, or when I shut her off after a ride my carb leaks gas with a frequent drip. It'll stop after 3-5 minutes. Should I be alarmed? Does anyone else h

Check out the old helmet my grandpa just gave me. He used to time trial race motorcycles back in the day. (Perhaps a Tuesday) I can't wait to refinish this bad boy. Even has snaps for the supplied goggles. Is this fresh or what?
