so these are all performance air filters? i guess anything is better than the stock filter but i want to make sure what i'm getting is really an upgrade.-thanks
instead of doing the pantyhose thing i was considering just getting a good quality high flow air filter for my a35 with the stock sha 14 12. i don't know anything about air filters or what makes an air filter "high flow", i'm just looking to tweak things and get a little faster. if anyone could recommend a good air filter that will increase my performance a bit i would apprecia
cork lining has a very short life span, at least for me. relining again after about a month and a half. this time i tried a metal to metal epoxy putty that has a heat resistance up to 350 degrees. last time i used the stuff in the syringe but i don't think it has the heat resist. i'm using cork again..dude at the auto parts store said to use asbestos or brake lining and you won't ha
try to fix it yourself, dummy
i would just go try to clean the points right now but it's raining so i guess i'll just sit on ma dreaming about what's going on
put on the external condenser. at least now i know how to do that. didn't fix my problem though. also tried riding without the gas cap. nothing.i would like to regap my points but.. sadly.. it seems like the screw which tightens the points is STRIPPED. ughhh. could that even be the problem though? (not idling in the heat)i suppose i could still clean them without loosening the screw though, m
i'm definitely running a bit rich.why would i want to insulate the carb and gas line? keep in mind i'm in florida and it's summer time.
if i go out riding in the daytime, after the bike heats up it stops wanting to idle (sputters and then dies). if i ride at night i'm fine. my plug chops look good.someone told me this could be the condensor? any help is appreciated.
so i sanded down my intake by hand, the result wasn't surgically precise but i got my dellorto sha 14.12 to fit onto the 14 intake(no shim)the result.. i was hauling ass and not idling well (had to keep revving at stop signs).i attributed this to an air leak. (carb cleaner sprayed at the intake to carb connection caused the engine to die)got some gasket goop stuff from the auto store and put
does this mean it is a 14.12 millimeter carb, or does it mean that the intake side is 14mm and the air flow side is 12mm? or what?
i have a nearly brand new tecno bullet for a35. need a pipe for my e50, anyone wanna trade?
i took some rubber gasket and rolled it up like a little jay and stuffed it up my hole
if not what's a good material for stuffing up your hole?
the instructions in the wiki say to plug the hole where the petcock goes. i was just going to switch the cock to the off position. i know some methods of gas tank cleaning involve chemicals which should not touch your cock. but vinegar?
oh okay i just realized that looking at petcocks on treats. just had to yank it out it was a lil stuck.
never tighten something any tighter then you can get it with two straight fingers
when this happened to me i applied wd40 to the studs, let that sit for a minute, then removed them as carefully as possible with a vice grip. replaced them with hex bolts. hex bolts are sketchy though because if you over tighten those you're stripping your cylinder and not just your stud.
i'm trying to take a petcock off my tomos and put it on my pinto. i think this will work but there is something anchoring the petcock to the inside of the tomos gas tank, like some sort of filter. how do i get this thing off the petcock?
my prob is that the crack must have warped my shit because the cover won't slide back on it just doesn't line up correctly so i can't get so far as to even try the jb weld
so my a35 transmission side cover has a big crack in it. my friend has a a35 transmission side cover but his a35 is pedal start and mine is kickstart. i can't use his cover can i? i can't get to it right now to take it apart and check it out, hoping someone might know about this. thanks
a warped bell could probably result from running with little to no lining on your clutch shoes huh? i had to reline mine like 3 times cause they kept wearing off.
this is way more gnarly than i thought, instead of a "chip" the case is actually cracked, about half an inch long and bent outward. somehow it basically blew a hole in itself. i had been having a problem where my ped would not roll backwards untl i turned the kickstart? ah this thing is fucked..
so my a35 transmission fluid is leaking, i open up the transmission side case to find two of the bolts which go into the center (crankshaft part of the case) loose inside. what the fuck? anyways now i noticed the leak is coming from a tiny chip where the two halves of the case meet, dunno what caused the chip, or the bolts falling out. i put the bolts back in and tightened all of them, then go to
update- use an E string (biggest string in a pack of guitar strings)the D was too skinny.
yes, definitely DO NOT try this with a brake cable! i think that a brand new guitar string would last a while for this type of application, also if you're using it for this purpose, go with a quality string so it doesn't brake!i took one off my guitar, so that things got some miles on it, i'll update on how long it lasts.
also keep in mind, different guitar strings have different stoppers at the end, you want something small so for now i can tell you the super slinkys are a safe bet.
