Never heard of a badger before - cool! I've done clear tubing before but it melted - instead I got equivalent sized aluminum balls off Mcmaster Carr and replaced the steel balls 1:1.Nick/others I'm trying to find out what my bottleneck is - forget crappy acceleration, I can't even get the thing to carry me 10 feet. Do you recall your jet size? I'm running a 15.15 SHA. What abou

This is what I did. Kind of like yours, but I don't see the point of opening up the spacer more to match the bottom end skirt because that face mates to the Bat case which has the smaller profile. Unless you can convince me otherwise? In the second image you can sort of see how I ramp that port on the spacer to be wider and match the ports on the base of the bottom end. So spacer goes from or

Sorry I understand but no pickey-choosey I just want the pile gone. Feel free to make an offer if you're willing to take it all. Better images of muffler below.

I can't comment on that, I never used any of these parts, bought it as a parts bike and never needed it. I'm not there in person to take pics/measurements but if someone needs that let me know.

Glad it was useful to someone other than me. You know I was just going to return the flywheel back to treats, sorry but I'm not sure it makes sense to sell it straight to you, but seems like they have plenty in stock.I put on the new + correct rotor. I have still a variety of other stuff to do to get things running, but I did the timing and geometrically all seems good with the universe.

I may have figured it out, for anyone who runs into this. The relative clocking position of the woodruff key slot to the timing "bulge" that pushes open the points is different on these two rotors / flywheels / magnetos. So the one I bought cannot possibly work for timing the m48 - the bulge/key positions relative to each other are fixed. The stock m48 Bosch magneto I have is a 6V22-5/10W

Hey y'all, I'm very confused. Put the motomatic kit on my Starflite, and I finally got her running the other day, but it was running backwards. A little research and removing the rotor I saw the key was sheared and gouged the rotor, probably made the timing way the eff off. No idea when I did that little number on it. But anyway got a new key and magneto, reinstalled, and now I'm tr

Can anyone tell me what is going on here? There's this aluminum spacer that someone made and threw on this horizontal NOI(?) to push out the clutch cover and subsequently the clutch lever to start the bike. I'm sure I'm going to have to take it apart to see what they did that tacked on that extra axial length, any guesses? I am trying to get it to run before but just help me think.T

High five.Ok cool ya I think I'll just do that then. I do see oil holes in the bushing, and ya I'll go for a nicer oil.Thanks.

Hey guys,So I'm throwing a motomatic 60cc kit on my M48, and trying to figure out if I should recondition the crank assembly. The few people I've heard that have put on this kit didn't seem to change anything, but this is what I was thinking.Originally I was going to change the con rod's big end needle bearing, but now I don't think that'll be necessary. Seems like ov

Hey guys so I'm trying to get my Starflite fast. He's been reliable stock (with some minor changes), so hopefully i don't make him blast his own head off with all this. I will try and tune it for low end torque cuz city life. I'm not a master clearly so if you can, keep explanations simple for a simple boy.Intake:~Carburetor15.15 Dellorto (jet sizes when i'm actually runn

Just an update that treats has the MMM pipe available now. I had the other people's pipe for a couple years, now i just bought this one for the kit and will have to sell the original people's pipe to some lucky winner.

I'm putting on this kit now. I hogged out the case with a dremel, no need for a machine shop just a vice and a couple dremel bits maybe (I used a mill-like one, a sanding drum, and like a polishing cone).Since the mating face is just the flat with the gasket, if the opening in the case is a little too big it's no problem I think as long as you're reasonably concentric with original

I got that kit but haven't installed it yet, and have a people's pipe, if you look here: http://garage.1977mopeds.com/build/Merlin+2.0 this kid has a people's with the Motomatic 60cc kit on it.So should be ok.

I'm right in the transition of an almost identical setup.Right now:MLM People's Pipe15mm Intake w/ Dellorto 15.15Soon to come:Carbon fiber reeds (and also maybe hogging out the reed block itself)60cc Airsal kitI am actually excited to see each upgrade at a time to see how each contributes. I think the fogginess with that is that it might be the perfect storm when they're all on toge

Some kids I met the other day said they were capable of fitting a minarelli engine on there just by cutting off the stock mounts on the Bat frame and moving them or something like that. Point is they put on a minarelli.

I imagine the price of bearings like this gets exponentially higher as you get bigger. Tolerances become harder and things like thermal expansion are exacerbated. Plus shipping.
