Check the wiring in the left hand switch. The horn ground has made my Free Spirit quit on 2 occasions. It was a bugger to figure out the first time.

The link pics shows a snap ring holding the packing. The gunk inside will make it some work to get apart. Once apart, clean with Caustic soda, Sodium Hydroxide, Lye (all the same chemical). Also found in dollar store oven cleaner. Soak, rinse, repeat, till it's as clean as you wish. Done

What tool did you use to get the 8 sided nut off the bottom of the fork tube?

I got one in a trade and there was no kickstand. Anyone have the same problem? Other than that it's almost complete and not bad shape. I'm inclined to try putting a long version E50 stand on the motor to see if it will work. Hopefully it won't hit anything when retracted.

Without a doubt the new led lights are awesome, however the battery packs are too small, at least on the ones I've seen, to go for much distance. But the good batteries, that are available, are small enough that they can be hidden or made fairly incognito, in a usable pack for a longer distance. There's lots of room under a Tomos seat to bunch them up or a small box/pack within the rack

Few people know Kevlar is 13% lighter than Carbon and is often woven together to form a much stronger part because it has the properties of both. Don't ask how I know. It's too long of a story

I made the same mistake, several years ago, on the too stiff of springs. I did find some with way lighter springs and they work great. The ones I'm stuck with would be perfect for a medium weight standard type honda bike, or similar. Like a CB 400A or T.

Did you ask Treats if they ship overseas? I'm sure it won't be cheap. But if they do ship, and have another sale, which they often do, then there's a good option.

Did you see this pipe? it's the closest to stock looking that I've seen. The reviews are inconclusive. A chamber is hidden in the stock looking long section.sectionhttps://www.treatland.tv/MLM-puch-flat-port-SILENT-NINJA-pipe-p/mlm-puch-pipe-401174.htm

I have been using 927 for a number of years Great stuff. I also mix using info I gleaned from this article from peeps VERY serious about what the do, and is their livelihood. Insides are clean as can be and no other issues. I mix at 85-90:1Here's the best write up on oils I've found. I've been doing 2Ts since before the triples were around. Pre 70s. Scroll down to oils/mixes or enjo

Another thing, you need to address on most pipes I've seen, is to make sure the flange, that mates to the cylinder is dead flat. Sometimes it's an easy fix, but most of the time it takes a bit of work. This usually can't be fixed by using a thick gasket to make up the difference because after several heat cycles it shrinks and it exacerbates the problem. Obviously both mating surfac

I always wonder how any of these kits would run if auxiliary exhaust ports were added to an already dialed in motor. And had a weld wizard pipe!
Charles Cole (OFMC) — 4 years ago
OK, here's my spin on why some circuit pipes work better than others. And some other pipes, as well. I've noticed, not only on circuit pipes, but many of the pipes, that the first weld junction, where the header pipe if just slid inside the next section & welded up. To me, that just kills the returning wave right when it's needed the most. I know I can't be the only one who

Apparently that kit is no longer available. Bummer! Even though it was a kit for wizards, I think it would be worth all the work, especially since there's a stroker crank now. If anyone's got a line on them, post it up.

I usually make my own flanges. 1/4" min thickness, 5/16" even better. Must fit absolutely perfect, mounting holes included (no rocking), and be dead flat, which is the easiest part. The barrel flange needs to be dead flat, too.

Brake adjustment too tight, or something inside the drum getting caught. Chain should have about 10mm of slack. Maybe a good time for a brake cleaning, inspection.

Make sure nothing can leak. Not one drop. I had to drive 6 hours to pick up a Puch motor, that had leaked, in a box. It was in a USPS holding warehouse near Ventura Ca. Had to be picked up in person!
