So I've got an unbearable-to-ride 70cc Tomos A55. My boys are like jumping beans unless I cup them while I ride.Digging around in old threads showed balancing the clutch drum would help substantially. Now the question is; Where do I go to get this done, presuming the drum is off the bike?

It's all still in one piece, Where are those washers supposed to be and in what order. There is 2 thick and 2 thin washers.

Does anyone have any idea the order those washers should be in inside the transmission?

Yeah, I've been in there, nothing seems out of place. Would manual tranny fluid make it do that? I also put in a bit of lucas oil stabilizer (thickens the oil). Could that be making something stick?

The bike will fire up just fine, and the transmission might catch time to time, but it certainly is not consistent engagement. It will stay running, but the wheel is not spinning when I hit the throttle. Everything sounds right, but I'm hoping it is not jacked!Anyone have any insight on this issue?Everything seems in place. too little oil? Too much oil? I just put a piston on, and the cranksh

Going to look at a Trac Trike tommorow possibly. Does anyone know of anything I should know about in particular when looking at these bikes (different motor models Things of that sort)The guy says it will rev up fine on the kickstand, but when you get on it,. it loses it's power and will only run upwards of 10mph. He claims the rings need to be replaced. Any ideas on that?

before buying a ped. That's what I did. Got a "completely" restored bike and didn't even think to check the tank for rust. So this thread is for you to tell me how dumb I am for not checking for rust.. Bash away!

http://norfolk.craigslist.org/mcy/995118403.htmlI'm really excited about this bike. It's 15 degrees out and I'm about to suit up and haul on it. Hopefully I didn't pay too much for it. Brand new piston, carb, exhuast, blah blah blah. Everything restored but switches and such. Runs great. Runs fast. ramble ramble. No actually meaning to this post. I'll just say showing off. Wh

Nice! My buddy did this with his motorcycle not that long ago. Down the driveway, across the street through the neighbors yard and landed in the flower bed. Those trackmarks told a pretty funny story.

Hm.. I couldn't find his number in the white pages. He doesn't live but 15 minutes from me.

I don't know where I saw this but it was the coolest moped I've ever seen!

What's up is there any set date for a cruise? I need to get my jammy tricked out before then. I don't think my stock ped will keep up with an old man on a hoverround.

That garbage sheet of metal acting as a seat in this picture is long gone fortunately.Who needs lights anyways? It doesn't run as smoothly as it could by any means but it sure does feel solid. It's really good for getting low in turns. As of now the gas tank is held up with duct tape and bungee cords.

Wow.Everytime I check this someone has blown my mind with their knowledge of these mopeds. In most cases more than one person has. Greatly appreciated. The badge is stamped 4/80 with a C as the restriction. My buddy followed me and said it was doing a solid 30-32 mph. I'll double check to see if someone answered this next question ,but How would I go about removing the wedge holding me back fro

So I picked it up last night and rode it for a solid 3 hours. The tail light ended up going out so I just taped my brake lever in a little bit.(brake light works!)The motor is in severe need of tightening. It wobbles quite a bit. It's not seated on the washers right. Also, The one side of the bolt for it is seated too far in the bushing for my to get a grip on it. I've got a little bit o

Ok,We went a checked it out. There was a misunderstanding about talking him down. $500 firm. It's in amazing shape though. The guy is the second owned. 1500 miles. Fired up first try. Those things are a trick to get started. 12 different levers and a button. It ran great, so I think I'm going to head back to pick it up.

Awesome! Thanks for all the input fellas! This site is a great source of information. My buddy is checking it out now and has him talked down to $300. By what has been said here, that's a reasonable price for it.I really appreciate all the help!I might end up taking it off his hands just to have something more practical than my chopped up tomos.

Mine died but not the red ring of death way. I was playing and my colors distorted then it just kicked the bucket. Maybe it's just the AV cables? It sounds like it's loading the disc and functioning properly.
