With both the switches killing the engine, and the bulb socket not being corroded, it should be in the wiring. Somewhere.I did find a ground under the rear fender that was disconnected. I bolted it back on and no rear lights at all. So, with all that taken into account. It should be in the wiring somewhere.

What engine is the one with the stuck cylinder? You could probably pull the head off and get some PB Blaster or Free All down the stud holes and it’ll free up.I would recommend rebuilding both engines. New bearings, seals, gaskets. Chasing air leaks will drive you mad.

Here’s what I’ve found so far:Tail light ground wasn’t grounded.Headlight switch needs to be fiddled with to keep the tail light on.I have a working brake light now. But it’s still killing the engine.
