Peugeot 103. Running 15sha/good reeds/ lame pipe that doesn't fit(bought stock pipe going to debaffle).Runs barely at only wot .Clutch spins good and it sounds like a 4 stroke monsterForgot to get jets with carb, came stock with 82.I'm thinking that it really needs a 70-72. Could this jet size be what's holding it back from being a runner? Only other thing I can think is compression

ok with what i have on this ped..im looking at a 45mph ripper?anybody have input on the stock pipe gutted vs the monster on it now? ITS very difficult to kick start it over with a pipe this big.how do people who run no decomp/kickstand, even start their bikes?the fuel i used to run it the first time was very overmixed, so prob why it is so smokey. That on top of running a jet 10 sizes too big.

Lol. Was a piston ring piece under crank. Flushed crank case were good to go
french gimiks — 9 years ago
Bottom end is solid, low miles. No play.I'll check these remedies above. Anyway to make a base gasket out of cereal box?The piston had no arrows, so it could be backwards.

crank was untouched. any reason it didnt hit the head before, but now it does?
french gimiks — 9 years ago

thank aaron. According to 1977 garage, you have racked up over 3k in that grey 103?did you pull that seat bracket off and just put the seat on the tube?
french gimiks — 9 years ago
yeah, mines sitting flush. It has those 2 upfront mounting bolts and the rear end doesnt move.just making sure its cool just to sit on the rear frame vs mounting with bracket. lolWish they made the 103 frames so that rear piece can unbolt off. Dont wanna cut a nice 103 frame.
