cool.. you're absolutely right... that's my plan for today.. gonna try to get someone over for assistance and get this right! i'm having these idle probs too and notice that when you tighten the "mixture screw" ALL the way it opens just the slightest bit.. i guess that's all you need but it doesn't seem to do anything when everything is back together and on the

cool... i'm gonna go buy a couple smaller jets for sure... my throttle cable is really screwed up too... i would like to know what others are runnning with similar setups to mine (in regards to throttle cable, single end and knarp, two ended, etc...) better get going tho.. stgores closing!!!!

i think it might be.... it's making a weird gurgle sound at different point in acceleration... sometimes it sound fine and then "gurgle gurgle gurgle".... this wasn't as noticable till i shortened the throttle cable a bit to get the idle correct....

so it runs... is my jet size way off still..(i went down from 82 to 74) portland oregon rain/humid climate rolling in... my plugs are BLACK in no time flat and just wondering what suggestions are out there!thanks you all!-gregp.s.-more info available of course

ahh interesting... i was just wondering the same thing... good to know... i'm running REALLY rich i think and my bike was fine before all this upgrading (of course) i'm running a 74 jet right now and i can't get my idle set quite right but that's not my big worry right now.. i want to get my air/fuel correct.... i'm in portland, or and the weather is changing fast (to rain

thank you for the advice.. I know I could go bigger for the same price but i hear that I'm looking at more work... i guess i should have stated originally that i'm either going stock 50 or getting the malossi which is the same price.... or i guess what other options are out there for someone in my position.. thanks

I blew my motor right after installing the carb... i'm not looking for advice on how to fix that... i'm replacing a couple things straight up... i'm just wondering if the malossi kit (62cc) would be and ok choice and what else i might need.. ( was thinking 3 puck clutch for one) any advice would be great.. (go back to stock??? I'd rather just do this upgrading now since i lan o

So I have a 04 kinetic tfr usa and i stupidly kitted it and during disassembly there seems to be a clutch part that disappeared and the bike will not idle AT ALL anymore... the closest i can get is not tightening the nut down all the way and barely hitting the brake while it's on the stand... which loosens it all anyway... so i have ONE of the nylon washers that i believe go between the start

I did.. everything is fine/new and spins great but i start hearing those when it's up at top speed.... it stops sometimes when i hit a bump or just lift the front from a min...

so my speedo cable broke a couple days ago...i'm running a bike speedo for now which isn't bad cept the slow slow reaction time and no backlight... it's a cheepo but probably temporary... anyways at 35mph and over i'm getting ahigh pitched squeel/whine definitly from the front wheel and i'm wondering if it's from the speedo cable being removed and the speedo unit just

wow... it's running!! just running kinda weird cause i've discovered that the jet size is too high... i'm running an 82 and apparently i need more like a 74... i just needed a someone else (that has more experience) to look at it first hand and confirm what i was suspecting! thank you everyone for the help!

it kicks over fine, the plug is clean, brand new and getting tgreat spark, and the points are clean too... the motor was fine and i put the kit on changed tje gas started it (which it did) and ran it for almost half and hour and it just kinda puttered out and now it won't start..

ok so i've got spark for sure and everything WAS fine w/ the bike..... but it won't start now!!!! i just put on a new kit and carb (malossi, dellorto) and also changed the clutch... it started and ran for 20 mins at least but then it just shut off and i can't get it started any more!!! i filled the tank right when i got done w/ all the assembly so is it possible it's too rich

e50 still available? i've seen one or two for 50 bucks around... but they're gone now... but i definitely need one... this is just the tranny right? what are you really looking for because i'm super motivated and if the price is right you'll have yourself a deal!

yep... pretty much need an entire tranny but a primary drive gear will do for now... i also need a clutch bell and starter plate! any or all of the above would be great for a reasonable price... thanks-greg

i live in Portland and WTB a 78 or later front fender for a maxi (just like the subject says!) i have a 77 one in great condition (silver) but the gazelles i just put on don't like my 77 fender one bit... so name yer price + shipping unless local..... thanks!-greg

ya know that's what i was figuring.... so i FINALLY got it off! i bent my little stamped metal wrench to hell... completely blackened... whoops... i f'd the pre-mix up on this one.... what's a good ratio for break-in?? i've read a few different things....

thanks man! Funny thing... i got it started a little while after my post but while doing the break-in run (after the third warm-up) it just stopped and won't start now!!! the headlight turns on when i peddle to start it.. i know that doesn't mean much but i just don't understand what could have happened??? running fine then nothing.... should i do the check like you mentioned? obvio

ok this is it regarding throttles for now! does anyone know where to get a pic of the return spring on a magura ouch maxi throttle?? or know of an equivilent spring usable? i've got a sping manufacturing plant down the street from my house and thought i might get something to rig it with there! thanks anyone

turning over but no start (spark maybe???) i know to search these threads thoroughly and i did but wondering if anyone has malossi specific info (dellorto card q616 sha btw) but it was a stock e50 puch 2hp version... ideas? if you need more info from me i'll get it right to ya... this is still fun a s hell... just wanted some miracle shit snd from working on cars in the past i know how that
