For us motorheads--- A new network some will find deeply offensive because it touts itself as "...of Americans, by Americans and for Americans..." is showing a rally race from Italy today. Go figure. The network is Maverick TV or MAVTV on the channel guide. The programming is mostly motorsports with some MMA and some dumb movies here and there.now, back to my European vacay...London, I

Obviously, the Egyptian people don't want shariah law or a caliphate. They're a society and culture made of different elements that have never lived under anything like the rule of law we used to enjoy here. Morsi lied to everyone because it's perfectly acceptable to his traditional way of doing things. They're probably in for a string of Morsi types and much more growing pains

If a former owner has used a detergent oil you may have some other challenges in the future, like swollen rubber parts causing clutch engagement at idle and crappy shifting. Detergent oil has chlorine, it "attacks" the rubber, making it swell. A good flushing out with non-detergent oil wouldn't hurt.

There's some good advice here about this kind of leak. I have the same thing happening with one of my bikes. So far, JB Weld has worked fine. It seems like a cheesy method, but if the metal is cleaned well, the stuff works.

If so many weren't afraid of being pulled off the tit, we might have the balls to duplicate what has transpired in Egypt. Watch for our prez to expand entitlements to placate the masses to prevent this from happening here.

We experienced a wildfire in Arizona's Patagonia Mountains, on the Mexican border, two years ago. The flames got within a mile of the little ghost town we were in. At one point we were forced to drive through the burning areas. The hot shot crews were busting their asses on those steep mountainsides. We're very grateful for their hard work and sacrifices. Bless them and their families.

Stick with the snubbers. Rivets will work OK but if you have to access the clutch rubber, you have to drill out the rivets. You can see in this pic the trans fluid turned into salad dressing because the seller had never changed it in 10 years.Edit: I meant access the clutch disc thingy...Edit2: Here's a link to a thread about your question. There's a couple other threads. Quatto or marti

I remember Harold's live feed. I watched for about an hour, he was doing something with a wheel. He got up and walked away and I never saw him again. I think he died.

^@ MurrayThanks for posting the link to that study. It reinforces what most sane people instinctively know. Aside from the random crazies that shoot up a congresswoman's neighborhood meeting and the like, an armed citizen is probably the number one deterrent to violent crime. There will always be crazies, killing innocents with whatever means possible, like cars, bombs, poisons and such. But

I suppose the New Jersey woman savagely beaten by a home invader could have called the cops and been just as safe as if she had a gun, except she was beaten nearly unconscious. At least the nanny-cam caught most of it, and her three year old daughter was so much safer without that gun around...

Dang!I really wanted to do this ride. Alas, maybe I'll get to do the next one on a "new" Streetmate I'll buy from Myron's. Shaun and Myron's are icons in the moped world.I hope someone can get some pics and post them up here.

The last time I posted a pic about a yard sale two speed, a thieving cockroach posted this:Re: 1985 Puch Z50 --- yard findfixit felix (sicc_minds) — Apr 21, 2012 03:22AMyou bas turd you better sell me this!I thought his message was a kinda joke, but it turned out to be a real threat, eventually resulting in his felony crime. In the following months, before he actually stole the bikes, I received n

We moved recently and in the packing and such I lost a new-in-the-box spark plug that I needed later that day for the chainsaw. I stopped by a small shop to get a replacement, asked about any dirt bikes or small MCs and ended up with a 100% complete moped for free. The shop owner didn't care and had no idea about European mopeds, he just wanted it out of his yard. He even offered to help load

I just went and double-checked the Pennzoil labels. It's the better stuff like in the aircraft testing link NKOTB posted. "Meets or exceeds all... blah, blah, blah..."That's a good article btw, thanks for that NK .I bought it (Pennzoil) because it was super cheap on "inventory clearance sale" . It's odd that a convenience store, next to a university, would even c

another 'spensive oil thread..."made with real glycerin vibrafoam!"I'm still mostly using up a case of Pennzoil Outdoor bought about three years ago for about $1 a quart, if memory serves me. Circle K at 6th and Cherry, a kinda famous store due to its proximity to the local stadium, was getting rid of it to make space for more beer. I also get Stihl from Home Depot, and occasi

Nice pics of nice bikes, even upside down. The Fizzy is quite the gem. That Benelli is also a dream ride. Well, all of these bikes in this thread are dreamy. I really like the old Mobys and Allstate bikes and they're at least somewhat attainable for us regular people. @ Phil, Thanks for enlightening us with that Yammy.
