i am changing out the jets on my streetmate for the first time and so i have no idea how to do it, any tips or info would be much appreciated, thanks
chief — 13 years ago
well my suggestion is 58 for your jet, that is what i use and right now i have a biturbo and drilled air filter and 58 seems to work good, but get the 60 just incase, my guess would be that with those upgrades you will max out at 40, if you get a different pipe maybe more, biturbo isnt the best but its nice for people low on cash like myself, and as far as which air filter to get, just look at the

for my 08 streetmate, i hear that people dont remove the air filter but instead drill it? is this correct? and where exactly do you drill it at, it cant be the carb end, it has to be the other end right, i have a biturbo and jets on the way but cant find a new air filter any where, so would this be a good solution temporarily, and ideas?

so i just got a biturbo and unipod air filter and hevent put them on yet but was wonderin if it would be ok to run those two without retting the carb first, i know you should but would it hurt the engine not to do it right away, because i cant find the jets anywhere, 1977mopeds doesnt have them right now at least, anyone know either where i can get them or if it would be ok to run it without, than

you could always just try to lose weight, that should make it go alittle faster

has anyone noticed a big difference in the kinda of gas you put in your moped. for example a difference between regular or premium in either your mph. mpg, smoothness of the ride or a longer life of your moped, any info will be great, thanks

if you put a 22 tooth rear sprocket on your st it will easily max out at about 40, i have a 24 on mine and it goes about 38 and that is the only upgrade i have put on it so far. however changing just your rear sprocket is a really big sacrifice to your acceleration and climbing power

i have a streetmate with a 24 tooth rear sprocket, it goes about 36 and i was wondering if i added a biturbo exhaust and new air filter would it really even got that much faster, and if so how much more mph should i expect, thanks

would any 12 volt battery work instead
Chief — 13 years ago
i kno i used the wrong one, i was suppose to use a trickle charger, i am just wondering if i couls till operate my bike without a battery and if that would be bad for the bike at all
Chief — 13 years ago
i was charging my battery and it started to expand so i took it off the charger, it is not safe to use so i was wonderin if my streetmate would be ok to use with out a bettery because it is my only form of transportation, any info would be much appreciatied, thanks
Chief — 13 years ago
and why is that
Chief — 13 years ago
sounds random but mine did it to and i realized that one of the screws that holds in the sprocket had loosened ane it was hitting the fork, probably not the same thing that happened to you but it just an idea

Chief — 13 years ago
when i first got my bike it was really high off the ground when i had the kickstand deployed. it has been two months now and when the bike is on the kickstand both wheels are on the ground. i am afraid that at this rate i will come out and it will be laying on the ground soon. does anybody else have this problem and what is your solution. i have looked for a side kickstand that will work but i am

So..... i am sorry to say but i most likely have to get rid of my streetmate. I moved to wisconsin and winter is not very moped friendly so i need to get a more reliable source of transportation. My streetmate is an 08, it has 1000 miles on it, a biturbo exhaust, i have jets for it but have not gotten around to installing them yet, a 24 tooth rear sprocket, passenger pegs and runs amazing. I wa
