What happened to flat view? The RSS thing doesn't show all posts like flat view used to. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Thanks.
Thanks, but I'd like to check for spark before I bring the lighting system into the equation. Can I wire for spark without wiring up the lights?
I'm working on finishing up a project puch that I'm building for my girlfriend. I bought a pile of junk parts that worked out to a semi complete puch maxi. I started building this thing from the ground up and tryed to make it look good for her, this is my first build. If my pictures work, they don't do the paint job justice-I used my iphone (not an iphone 4). The paint is a nice
What ratio do people run Royal Purple in their mopeds? My question is particular to Puch. Thanks
Bigger carb, pipe, and mess with your gearing. High flow air filter. In the wiki it says the Proma GP is best for stock bikes, I have one and love it. I've never tried any other pipes so I have no comparison other than it's a lot better than stock. Do NOT forget to upjet after any performance steps you make.5 stars do weigh more than spoked rims and are in high demand so you'd prol
Hey ffreddie, how much for one of the e50's?
"this":https://www.1977mopeds.com/product/1078/Puch-E50-Engine-Build/ would most likely be your best bet if you have to ask what can be done to your engine.
Definatly 13 teeth. Mine is the 1hp high torque, maybe that's why it's geared like that. Is yours a 2hp?
Wouldn't it increase my top speed and slow down my acceleration and low end power?
I have a maxi luxe with stock 13-45 gearing. I want to put on a 15 front sprocket. Will I have enough room in the adjustment screws to fit the bigger sprocket or will I have to get a new chain since I don't have any spare links to add? Thanks.
If it's worth anything, my cousin is going to college for welding. He's one semester away from graduating with an Ass. degree. He's welded aluminum before and got good grades doing it. If you want it welded and don't know anyone who can do it, my cousin can. I don't know what price you'd be looking at shipping both ways, it probably would be better to just buy ano
Here ya go, I was too lazy to copy and past that into my browser so I figured I'd do it here for anyone who wants to view this.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/moped-black-chrome-tip-expansion-chamber-pipe-treatshq_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ35619QQihZ012QQitemZ220312427750QQtcZphoto

Leave the head on it and turn it by hand, that's how you'll find out if it's hitting the head. How's your compression? Is your switch turned to on and your petcock in the run position?
The arrow goes down, toward the exhaust.
Is it a click sound or a clank sound? Did you check to see if your piston is hitting your head at tdc by hand before you tried to start it? How many base/head gaskets are you using?

I've read about boring carbs in the wiki, but I don't think I'm quite ready to go for it. What problems could I encounter that would totally suck, like taking too much off and the slide is wide open. After I would bore it to 5/8", how difficult is it to pick all the holes clean?
Would I be able to use my stock 12mm bing carb with my 70cc kstar? I have a proma GP on it also, I was just wondering how shitty my performance will be with my current carb. I don't really have the cash to buy another carb right now with Christmas comming up and what not. I tried searching but couldn't find anything involving my current situation. Thanks, Amos
So what's a good carb for an idiot(newbie) to use for a kit(or in general)? Is Bing the way to go or not?
what the fuck?? I'm trying to post a link and it won't work
<troutmansauto.com> ask for Adam Hoke, call him a rectal jocky...he'll gladly comply to your parts needs
When I went to put mine on I bolted it to the jug first, but just a little snug. Then when I went to bolt it up to the rear bracket it kinda lined up with the bottom of the bracket as opposed to lining up to the outside or inside of it. I just gently pushed it toward the inside of the bracket and had no problem getting it to mount or with pedal clearance.
I had no problem with mine. I mounted it on the inside of the bracket by the wheel. You can just bend your pedal shaft to clear the pipe if you have to.
Haha...there's no skipping the tuning. You're gonna have to figure out what your current jet size is, if you say the HP someone can prolly tell you off the top of their head. You're gonna have to get a variety of jets a few sizes bigger. You will also need to buy a bunch of brand new spark plugs to do plug chops to figure out which jet is correct for your setup. Good luck.
Also, don't forget to upjet or you'll seize for sure. Treats has jets for all your tuning needs. If you don't know what upjetting means you'd better start reading the wiki.
The Proma GP is said to be the best pipe for the stock cylinder as described here: http://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Puch_Exhausts. You can find it at treats-hq here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/puch-moped-proma-gp-performance-pipe-maxi-magnum-pinto_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ35619QQihZ002QQitemZ120315998306QQtcZphoto .
