Hey everyone,Here's the deal, 1979 Clinton 50-A, runs strong, and the headlight works fine but all of the other lights and the horn don't work.I've run through the wiring harness and it appears all the connections are good. Does anyone know where I could find a replacement gas tank cap for a '78 Sachs westlake?

I have a similar problem with my 78 Maxi. It will fire up fine, but takes ~1 min before I get any power out of the engine. It doesn't come close to stalling, just seems to skip engaging fully, maybe? Carb is clean, I get a spark (alittle weak tho)...any suggestions people?

'78 Westlake. Friend was riding it last fall, said the bike stalled on him and wouldnt fire up again. So I went top to bottom on it: new condenser, external coil, new clutch/brake/choke cables, new fuel line, new sparkplug. Pulled it out of storage last week, and it will fire up when I'm pedaling downhill, but as soon as I slow down or let off the throttle, it stalls on me...I am running

There should be a screw on the bottom of the carb bowl, tighten it to stop the drain hose from running...

Isnt that what flywheel or clutch pullers are for? You may need to buy one of these for the job....

I have a '78 Sachs westlake in great shape (usually), but when I try to ride more than ~5 miles, I hear a slight buzzing, the engine stalls, and I can't start it. After about 10 minutes of letting it cool, it starts right back up. Any ideas? Maybe some electrical component (condenser/bosch?) overheating? It usually runs like a champ around town, only on the longer joyrides do I get prob
