what rear sprocket is good for top end speed performance
there has to be a more convenient way to start. come on people.. there's no one that's rigged these up with the starter clutch?
you guys are idiots... everytime i post something i have to read a bunch of bullshit. im sick of you guys flirting on my threads DAMNIT!
saw improvement with my garelli kit that had proma before. but if you want fast as possible go with the simoni
the needle is already down all the way.. so should i jump down to an 86 or something?
garelli running polini kit 21mm dell and proma with a 90 jet...do i need to down jet a little?
NOTE: GET YOUR OWN FUCKING BRAIN
hey man Ive got a 80 garelli ssxl same kit and carb stock jet was a 96 but i was bogging so i dropped to a 90 and never looked back no bogging and top speed well over 50
still uses magneto? can you put a small battery to replace the magneto?
its a 1978 garelli gran sport.
anyone done this yet. what are the perks to cdi? what all does this replace? thanks
it has the jet that comes in it.. i think it a 95? but i do have a 102 i can try. i will have to check for air leaks tomorrow morning.
so i've been working on this thing since 10 this morning and i am brain dead now. its a 78' garelli gran sport.. 70cc polini, 21mm dellorto, proma gp. i couldn't get it to fire up, tried 9 or 10 times, then pulled the choke and it started right up but as soon as i release it, it dies. and also sometimes when i pull my clutch it just locks up my back tire? whats going on here guys?
i didn't bother finding out which one it was, all i know is it's not the right one.
same thing happened to me this week.. intake for my garelli polini kit. bet it was the same shop. SHITTY!!!!
mopedshop.com has the proma in stock...well atleast they did this morning. check now. $70!! super cheap for a good pipe. and no problem, i don't normally speak up in these threads i just lurk around and read. but definitely keep us updated.good luck
and if you have an air leak..FIX IT! asap
find out what you're at right now, front and rear.if you down size you're rear you gain top end.. up size the front you gain top end, and vice versaso if your rear is like a 36 tooth maybe go to treats hq on ebay and look at what he has, i think he has like a 42 tooth. that might do you justice.
i've read somewhere, dont remember where, but it said that these 2 strokes dont like ram air. can anyone confirm this or disagree?
definitely re-gear for hills though.
i've never personally used a biturbo.. i've heard both good and bad about it. but my buddy has the proma and he loves it, it performs super good on his bike. i just ordered one today for myself.
your not going anywhere with that stock pipe. they suck. a proma gp is only $70 and air filter like $15 and you will be surprised how HUGE of a difference it makes.
im going to make a rear sprocket but i dont think i have room to even go up 1 gear on the front. unless i figure a way to shave the outside of my case. its a TIGHT fit though already.
get a performance pipe... proma gp..tecno estoril are good low-mid pipes. you could expierement with re-gearing. new hi-flow air filter to go with your new pipe. you will need to up jet when you get a pipe and air filter
thanks...that'll do donkey...that'll do.
correct me if im wrong.. but the proma has better low end..torque and acceleration. boss is supposed to be badass top end?
i seriously would, but am running very low on moped money. i have bills to pay this week and rent due on the 1st.
