I had a 1979 and it did not have a battery, and if memory serves me the headlight was pretty bright at wot. just make sure you have every bulb in working condition or you will burn some bulbs and headlights.

Kroil is the shiz nit of all oils. i work in a pump shop repairing pumps all sizes and shapes. when a pump has been sitting in a pit for 5 years in untreated water it gets funky & rusty and kroil works. You can only get it from kano labs

If you dont have a moped and this is your only option, buy it. mopeds are hard to come by unless you know people. they dont make any from the 70's or the 80's anymore. so to me any moped that is in decent condition, meaning it could run with some tinkering is worth it. If you own a moped or want to own one you need to be a mechanic, or good with tools and your hands.Mopeds rule.....scoot
The best way to get the mix right is buy a small gas can and mix the gas and oil in there. my faforite way of doing it. and try this "site":http://www.csgnetwork.com/oilfuelcalc.html
Pedals are way cooler when you run out of gas. do you want to push it or pedal it. i prefer to pedal it myself.
Well at least your ok. ped's can be fixed. sometimes people cannot be fixed.
With it being mothers day this Sunday i might not be available til after 4 or 5. did you guys get yo momma something nice?
What time do you guys hit the road, and where do you meet? i know its around the benton park area.
Yes i am legal, but i am busy this Sunday, NHRA drag races are in town :) next Sunday looks good though. i have been legal for about 2 weeks i just wanted to make sure that i had all the bugs worked out of it before i join you guys for a ride.
So i have been riding my ped to work a few days a week, IL to MO via the McKinley bridge. On my home i looked in the tank and said "Oh hell thats enough fuel" i was wrong, i must mention i replaced my org petcock with a homemade one <no reserve> dead on the bridge i walked it till i got to the bike trail on the side of the bridge, time to pedal.........then i noticed the trail was
Man that looks sweet! good job. Murray's rock
Wait a week or two then offer him $175 and see what he says. and the paint .......a rattle can goes a long way. heres a pic of mine its a 1980. and the e50 engine is super simple to work on.
I would like to ride with you guys asap but i still want my ped 100% legal before i go west side.
Did you say "Old Milwaukee" if i could only remember how much i have consumed. my ped is a sealed beam and a mirror away from being street legal. Those rides sound and look hella fun.
Over here in illinois i have progressive, $64.00 a year for my honda shadow and my murray.
Try this web site, i have some on order for my murray. http://www.atlantalightbulbs.com/ecart/10Browse.asp?Category=Par-36+Reflectors
A 12 gage mossberg should do the job nicely.
My 1980 murray is 99% done just need mirrors and a new headlight . i know its a rattle can job but the orignal paint was gone and rust had taken over.
Two words "OLD MILWAUKEE" can i have an amen?
The info is greatly appreciated please e-mail me any more info you have. as soon as i have my 1980 murray/puch legal, painted and new rubber i will hell-bent to miss a ride with you guys. i live in Illinois big hassle, with no title ugh. i know you ped riders in mo dont need plates, titles or insurance, lucky bastards. oh yeah "superspaman" rick, no hard feelings at all hey as long as so
Ok so im new here on the MA site and noticed there is no branch in Saint louis. What is the deal?
Thanks i'll look for a 7mm tomorrow. i stopped by my local hardware store earlier and only found 6mm and 8mm. I will try sears hardware and the cycle shop.
Tried that already the 8mm slips right over the threaded rod, and the 6mm is to small.
Hello, can anyone tell me the size nut needed to hold the baffle/ muffler on? i know its not a 6mm.
