It is a morini i think, though it does have gyromat on the side of the casing.
I just picked up a 1969 Italjet Kit Kat, It's in decentish shape (the picture does not show the plastic tub/gas can cover. I'm having some trouble with the clutch seeming like it's not working fully engaging, or the engine not coming up to speed properly. Does anyone know the stock carb settings for this? Also I know these are pretty rare, is there anywhere I can pick up parts f
i dont think theres a moby owner who wouldnt buy one
I currently have 2 stock types of muffler for my moby, one is the standard blunderbuss style, the other is a tube into a oval cylinder type thinge, is one better than the other
So im thinking about making a homemade dyno, basically what i want to do is have a test stand to run the engine on, with a high velocity fan to keep the engine cool, a tachometer, and a brake with a needle style torque wrench attached. This wouldnt be able to make a nice pretty output graph, but you should be able to find what your horsepower is at a given rpm. There could still be flat spots in
throttle might be opening too much and letting extra(lots) air in somehow, like if you have an air leak, and it closes when you close the throttle a bit. Your carb only adjusts air flow, so it wouldnt get boggy from more fuel or anything, though it could be lean, id look at how far it opens first cause thats free then go to jetting
if i get a phbg for my moby(i like fiddling with needles rather than buying jets) should i just get a 15mm one from dellorto direct and is there anything i should know about putting one on my bike, i already have the 15mm intake will that work. and is there anything else i should know, i mean for an extra 30 bucks its no big deal especially when i dont need to buy a bunch of jets either.
Just to let people know im almost certain that supercharging or pressurizing the intake in any way shouldnt help the ped any more than a good pipe. supercharging works by stuffing extra air into the cylinder this would do you no good in a two stroke because the exhaust port is also open, unless you oversized the intake port timing to higher than the exhaust port. Then you might be able to make a
I saw this and wanted one too, do you know if that company ships to the us, i found it somewhere else and they did not.if you get one let me know about it please!
I'm goanna go for it, but what jet should i use, also is there anyway to get a new stock 50cc cylinder and pistion. i know the jet has been posted about a thousand times but i cant seem to find it for crap. thanks
im a blacksmith with access to a machine shop i can figure something out
I have a moby 50L 1976 and i want to put a variator on it, should i just get a 50v variator or are there any aftermarkets that would kick ass for it that would also be somewhat gettable?
it should work as long as the mating surfaces are super clean and fitting really tightly, it definately wont fill holes
well im goanna try it then, ive got nothing to lose, and i might just have everything(a few mph) to gain!
can you get bigger jets? also usually on carbs setting the screw all the way is the the most lean setting, for most engines the ideal setting is min 1.5 turns out to 2.5 turns out, im not sure if this applies here.
hes a frenchman trust nothing!!! :)
it seems like theres something majorly wrong with the carb like its running lean when you open it, is it a super clean carb? have you done anything to it?
has anyone tried to overbore a moby gurtner, i have a spare and i was thinking it might be fun, also to drill out the jet a bit(i have a spare of that too) i have a machine shop where i work too so dont think im goanna be going at it with a dull ass bit and a eggbeater drill. also any ideas of how big i should make the carb/jet?
anyone with a mobylette tried to make a velocity stack, they seem pretty neat. I feel like you could make one by turning a piece of copper pipe in a lathe or drill and spinning out with a piece of wood or plastic a nice bell. or maybe a shitty musical instrument. also has anyone had troubles running without a headgasket
I have an av7, has anyone had blowout problems running without a head gasket or any other problems with a no gaset situation
i have a 76 moby and was thinking about the dellorto carb, is there an improvement in power and speed, cause my gurtner runs like a top right now.
What is it, and what does it do to a 2 stroke, and where can i get one for my mobylette(av7) if its worth it
i have a 1976 50v and i was wondering if anyone knew the exhaust duration in degrees, and the rpm where the engine typically gets the peak horsepower. someone sent me a link to a guide on making a custom pipe and i being dumber than hell am goanna give ti a go.
has anyone tried to put on a cars coil to have more power maybe
I'm a blacksmith and a way to make things inflate pretty easily is to heat them in a propane forge with a small pipe attached and blow compressed air in. works like a charm, or so ive heard and this way air leaks are no trouble
I have the stock exhaust on my moby the oval cylender on a tube thing, with a long ass pipe that goes into it, can i modify this at all, or do i need apipe, i do have a mig and a tig welder what pipe would be most bang for the buck
So ive got a 1976 50l with a 50v engine on it, running pretty well tops out at 31 gpsed ubt im about 200 so that seems ok. stock exhaust, new teknix jug and cylinder. anyways, it was working fin i was driving it 25 miles a say to commute to work, it was the total best!. about a week ago i took apart the switch to clean it up and i lost the freaking ball bearings in it, so i just left the switch
did you try the pb blast and hammer method, that works on lots of things, just not too hard
sounds more like a spark or gas problem, maybe a bad condenser
