Two stroke engines emit significantly more hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide than 4 stroke engines. . I've heard folks are working to improve the new two strokes, but I don't think you can get around it with the old bikes . . . if I'm wrong correct me, but that's what I know . . .
Mopedjay,How hard IS it to find parts for an old Indian?? Impossible or just a pain? Is it possible to replace parts with different ones (sorry if this is a stupid question!)? Fixing it up is no problem -- my brother fixes mopeds.Thanks.
Thanks to everyone's comments. As you can tell I'm pretty new to this process. I'm in Portland, Oregon -- doing research on the laws right now. I don't MIND getting a motorcycle license, but I'd rather not go through the trouble . . . anyone know a good shop here they'd recommend?
I've been looking for a source for information on buying a moped or scooter. Does anyone recommend any websites that give complete info about the type of mopeds/scooters -- cc's, strokes,make, model, pictures, etc? I'm looking for a 49/50cc, four stroke moped to get back and fourth to school and work. I'd like to get good speed out of it. I don't want to get a motorcycle
