Hey all, I am looking for some insight.Namely:• Oil pump covers, do they exist? -- my motor came with the oil pump removed, trying to keep it sealed off from the elements• Replacement headlight / fairings -- need something that is fairly easy to wire up & can handle the MB5's power (no battery)• Same thing for taillight• Has anyone used any of these 3 products and able to speak to their q
@thokaar No problem.@kevin -- It was just brought to my attention, it's back up again.
@kevin -- all attachments were disabled, put direct link images worked. Everything should be fixed on that end already.@thokar -- PMs seem to be working for me. Get me any errors if you see them.
PMs will remain in tact, or they should. And mine are all showing up.Are you still getting an error?simon thokaar Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> i get an error message.>> Are the PMs still going to be intact when> everything is running? Just to keep things in the clear, Benj says the following about the Malossi 21mm PHBG: "hey ya you could go either way, whatever you like depending on clearance... malossi designed it for clamp mount though! thanks! benji."
Yup! Come get it. Ideally, I'd like $80 for it, or this lot of things shipped to my door.Your choice!
I have one, ran it twice. Make offer if you still need it.
Side note! Does anyone know if the 21 PHBG intake is for clamp on or hose mount carbs?https://www.treatland.tv/honda-MB5-malossi-21mm-PHBG-intake-p/honda-mb5-malossi-intake.htmJake: do you know off hand where to tap the case so it splits?
Andrews suggestion could work, depending on the revs you're getting out of the motor. Batavus are notoriously low-rev machines.
Good thought, but not a readily available option, I won't put this motor in my home oven and I don't own a heat gun.
BUMP it up to the top. After a catastrophic engine failure I am back and rebuilding.Any tips on splitting the case halves? Everything is removed, but cases won't budge!I don't have the special tool either.
Normal range is 86 - 92 with a 15bingMy case was matched pretty aggressively and I was at a 92.===Make sure you have no leaks and that your timing is set right, and your mix is solid (Polini recommends a full synthetic 60:1 ratio).
HEY.So, just before I throw $10 away, I can splice longer wire into the two wires off the board to make the sensor on the end effective?EDIT:Sorry if this makes me sound like a dumbyDOUBLE EDIT:Wingdings 3 is the best.
Yeah, on an E50.I absolutely love it, the lowend leaves a little to be desired (15x36) on a rigid freespirit frame with a Honda disc front end but a comfortable 45-47mph up top, good gas mileage.Tuned 3-shoe, don't remember weights off hand.
Just looking for other peoples setups?Been riding mine and loving it for about 2 years now. The past few days it has been pooping around a lot, as I am going through and cleaning it up a bit.So, what pieces do you have slapped on your MK50?Mine:18mm phbgTechno boss
Are they cut at a certain angle or just 90°?Could be for fluid cooling or movement of fluid around the pad, I like that they come pre-lightened a bit, thats a nice touch, I do not care for no e-ring retention on the shoe pivot point.
This is a really great build, but it makes me sad that a UPS magnum had to be torn down for it.
Here are a few! Thanks again so much Bourbon Bandits! I've been the past 4 years now and they keep getting better and better.Links to Flickr and Facebook. Also, I have whiskey business 5, wb5, and whiskey business as my Flickr tags.
