i was just wondering the same thing. i'm running 18 36 and have crazy good bottom end but it still wants to go faster. not hitting the powerband.
yep, that would be it. thanks!new to za50's. my expertise is in french bikes.
mkII za50 sit's and revs out until i pull the clutch in and use it as an actual clutch. but only engages to second gear. sometimes while sitting at an idle 1st gear will lock in and work. probably 25% of the times i stop at a light.missing a shim?
yeah, how do i get around that?
it's so close to fitting. i feel like if i had a half inch gasket it would work perfect.
oh shit is it the kickstand??
yeah it's flat but it's slightly off. seems like the rear right shock is in the way of the silencer. the pipe head won't sit perfectly flush with the exhaust port.i feel like i'm doing something wrong here. i've been working on this bike 5 days straight now that the semester is over and this and replacing the pucks are the last things i need to do.
who has modified a simonini for a 65 metra? did you hack it? if so, how did you go about it? it looks like it needs to be raised to the left side a little bit.
4000+ miles on mine. super fast almost 70 and could ride WOT all day long. it was a beast.
yeah za50 18x36. plus i weigh 140. hopefully it won't take too long to hit. too many lights in brooklyn but i'm sure it'll be a blast over the bridge.
I haven't heard of anyone trying this before nor did I see it on the tuner sheet.seen so many 65metra+19phbg+boss. how about a metra+21+simonini?i know polinis rip with a simonini but then again metra does not = polini.thoughts?
gilardoni. i put over 5000 miles on mine and it's super solid at 65+mph. keep looking for one. it's definitely worth it.
i've been running my stock head on a 70 gila forever.
i just stuffed it full of rags also, then flushed it four or five times with gasoline afterwards. while flushing make sure you spin the crank a lot also.
when I first put on the gila, i was running a stock pipe. i was the first one off the line at the creatures' moped monday but it would top out in the low 40's. (that was almost a year ago, they've stepped it up bigtime now).I upgraded to a doppler about a month later, still without case matching and still felt a huge difference but it's def worth it to open that third port. I d
i agree with matt. the gilardoni is great. i case matched mine but ran it a little before w/o casematching and it was still quick. got about 4000 miles on mine and it still runs great.
i woulda had you if i geared up!
someone test this pipe on a polini, 4 pedal, 21phbg, and i'll consider it.
no, benji had them. not sure if he does anymore. it only works if you upgrade your variator.

I remember you letting me ride this at the old garage in hayes valley. first fast bike I ever rode. almost shit my pants. i've been addicted to speed (not the drug) ever since.
