Possibly for sale is my 86 cobra. yes, it was originally white and blue, but that was one or two owners ago. I do have the original blue vinyl for the seat if someone is looking to restore. as it sits, it's a running ped that i use 3-5 days/week and has been really reliable. e50, kstarr 70cc kit, hi comp head, 15mm carb, stuffed race crank, bue clutch springs, and biturbo exhaust. with s

Hell yea it's WillD SWOOP Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> im being mean today, you didn't really deserve> that. trying only 2 jets tho, come on...no big deal. just trying to save myself some time before i start re jetting.
Timing is set at 16 degrees btdc with a .018 gap using a BU8H plug. I checked for air leaks and the only place the bike would stumble is around the carb connection, but this is after 3-5 seconds of spraying and it could just be getting in the intake. The reason I don't think it's too lean is because other people running this kit are using 75-85 jets. Thanks for the help
Recently picked up an 86 Cobra that I could legally put on the road. Have a 78 Maxi II but I could never get the paperwork to make it legal. So, the Cobra comes into the picture...e50, 70cc K-star, 15mm Bing, high-flow filter, upgraded crank, blue clutch springs, etc. ect. Ran like crap when I got it...knew the exhaust was holding it back. Threw on a biturbo and checked the carb...65 jet was not g
I just ordered a kit to fit onto my ped. I mountain bike a lot and my bike lights are 10x better than the stock puch lights. Look into magicshine and some of the knock off kits out there. You can get a 1200 lumen led headlight that runs at 8.4v and will last for 2 hours before needing a recharge. My first plan is to wire it straight up and see what happens...otherwise I'll just use the batter
Picked up an '86 Cobra with a e50 swap, 70cc k star kit, high comp head, 15mm bing, foam filter, etc. it will run, but really sluggish at low rpms. It still has the stock exhaust and I think that is playing a major role. Question is...what type of exhaust will fit the cobra and fit the kit well? I have a maxi biturbo that I'm going to pull out of storage. Any ideas if that will fit? A
Price change....$1300. Need this gone ASAP!!
Clearly not a moped, but I thought this crew would appreciate this sick 2 stroke. 50cc mated up to a six speed transmission. easily cruises at 50, can hit 60+ with relative ease. an absolute blast to ride. fully street legal and title in hand. looking to get $1600, but all offers considered. email email@example.com
i'm running the EXACT same setup (pantyhose airfilter though), but i'm only about 20 miles into the break in. at first it was terrible in the midrange, but i moved the needle to the second highest position and its very happy. it sounds like your needle is already in the right position if it pulls hard from 1/2 - 3/4 throttle. full throttle is completely controlled by the jet so you sh
yeah i have 74-80 but i wanted to start high and work my way down while breaking it in. however my first plug chop looks mint so 82 might be right on (i'm running pantyhose air filter). how many miles should i be looking at for break in?
hi i got my first moped last year and before long began to upgrade. sadly i didn't get a chance to enjoy it before the cold weather set in. today i took it for its first decently long break in ride (15 miles) and loved it. i'm running a 78 puch maxi za50 with a 65 metra, 15 bing 82 jet, and a biturbo. i haven't had a chance to really pin it on a straight away to estimate top spe
i'm running the same setup + no air filter and the 82 jet is running mint. plug chops show a very nice light brown.
looks really good, but i think the wheels need to be gold or better yet flat black.
check the timing...seems to be the only thing left you haven't done.
alright apparently getting fuel wasn't a problem because i moved the clip to the 3rd position down on the needle and she came alive in the midrange. i took her for a 15 mile drive and she performed great. just need to check the plug again to make sure everything is ok and i might move the needle all the way up just to be on the safe side. thanks for the help.
to keep the throttle cable in place you need to slip it through the hole and move the end of the cable over a bit to a smaller hole that hold the end of the cable in place.i'm sure the washer is there for a reason, but i can't imagine running into any problems w/o it.
i have a 65cc metra kit with a 15mm bing and biturbo. (probably should've mentioned that first).plug chops look like a healthy light brown.
i have a 78 puch maxi 2 speed that is having some issues. it will begin to accelerate fine for a short time then as i increase the throttle it will bog heavily. if i hold the throttle at anything but wide open it bogs down. when i hold it wide open will bog shortly then accelerate as normal. my guess is i'm getting too much fuel. i'm going to down jet, but i'm also wondering abo
yeah bolts should be here thursday. once i get things back together what compression should i be looking for on a healthy puch with no head gasket?? about 145 maybe 150?
it seems like the gauge is busted, but it worked perfectly for the last year or so. and arran a new bolt is on the way.
recently picked up a 78 maxi II and so far its been great. today i decided to strip the top end clean things up and see if i could squeeze a bit more out of her. i removed the head gasket to bump up compression a bit and ran into a bit of a problem. i managed to break a cylinder bolt at about 5 ft/lbs. i had heard about this and broke out the torque wrench, but it didn't matter. anyway c
mine does the same thing...not worried about it
yeah i through a metra 65 and bing 15 on there and she's running great. i'm down at school right now, but i should be back in a week or so. if it sells before than...o well i really shouldn't be spending money if not i'll check it out.
interested. need a price.p.s. the puch you sold me last summer has been working out great. thanks again.
y don't you just measure the forks??
i have a stock puch bing carb. recently cleand and replaced float and top seal, choke, and slide. lmk how much you want to spend.
