Joe! Perfect, I was hoping you would chime in. The e50 I'm trying to trade is the one I bought from you a couple years ago.... I built it up and found I liked the za50 better. I'll be calling you at some point tomorrow afternoon.

Cole, where are you located/how much. And yes pucks are getting changed along with the flip and shim. The pucks are completely non-existent, but surprisingly no teeth have been sheared. I'm actually surprised that it ran so long kitted/matched/piped.

I blew up my za50 tranny and need some parts I cant find on treats or anywhere else. I really only need the 1st gear assembly (including roller bearings and nut) and the tranny cover (with bearings). I have cash, or a complete e50 bottom end that was running when I tore it off that I would trade for a za50 bottom end.Located in Burlington VT

must be a bad condenser...I thought I remembered that the horn needs to be hooked up on a moby for it to run, does it just act as a ground?
Tom Davidson — 11 years ago
as title says, i got the green wire, the brown wire that i have no horn to connect to, and the gray that would connect the horn to the switch. My questions is what wires do I need to touch or ground so I can get some spark. It's a 6v system.

It must be mismatched parts, I bought it from some random guy last summer. The blue to ignition and then trial and error on the rest is my plan for this evening. Thanks for the help everyone.

Nah both engines are points. The match ups you just gave me should help though, I can just keep swapping the e50 wires around to the blue and green/blk that are left on the ped and the engine should run with just the coil and ground hooked up right?

the 6 from the za50 are blue/black, blue, green/black, green, yellow, gray. the 4 from the e50 are green/red, yellow/red, blue, gray.Ultimately I would like to only run headlight always on, killswitch, and brake light. I have a separate light on a battery I use for an always on taillight.Sorry if this is trivial stuff, but nothing matched the diagrams in the wiki and the electrical side of things

Linear bmx housing is the same as normal 5mm der. housing and cheaper. replacing cables and housing with anything new will make a big difference.

50v was my first bike.- dellorta sha 15:15 carb, intake to match.- porting and secret black magic. lots of interesting info about porting the stock av7 cylinder.- then get the pipe and variator goodies.gps'd at 44 on flat.

I know people say to hack a puch pipe to fit, but it looks like a tomos pipe would stick out to the right just like a stock pipe on a sebring.Just wondering if anyone has tried this before?
t-son — 13 years ago
so i'm lookin for a pipe too.... why is no one trying a tomos pipe, they look to have the proper header and they swing to the right.as for an intake i used an old handlebar....made an incredible difference on the stock cylinder with minor porting.
t-son — 13 years ago
opened the exhaust and intake ports a little, no transfer work.varplus or the like this spring.low end is lacking, gps at 47 flat ground, no changes to gearing, was a fast bike stock hitting steady 35.
