Machu Picchu Machu Picchu Machu Picchu. Make sure to spend time in Cusco. It's an amazing city. Water is unsafe, but bottled water is cheap and plentiful. Food is amazing too. You will have the time of your life. I did Machu Picchu through a travel group called GAP. Check it, super nice, reliable, and well worth the money. I would spend some time on your own, and then some time with a travel

I'm fucking sick of the hypocrisy. I'm fucking sick of people bitching about something when they so often (and happily, and willingly) suck from said something's teat. Fucking hypocrites. Stop being so fucking hypocritical and look deeper. STOP.(Really, this isn't about mopeds, hence the off-topic-ness.)On a completely unrelated note, BEERFEST TOMORROW!!!

yea i know its not the best of solutions, but this is like less than an 8th of an inch of spacing, no biggie, its only temporary. and its a moped.
cupernicko — 14 years ago
hey jewish, its the stock tomos wheels. yea, i just used washers as spacers, probably not as good as grinding the wheel down a bit as I know elliot from the creatures did to get that 20T on, but spacing the sprocket from the wheel seems solid enough. good luck!
cupernicko — 14 years ago
yea you could grind, or i just used some washers with some strong locktite to space the rear sprocket from the wheel and tightened it down like crazy. have ridden about 200 miles and polini cup this last weekend since i put on the 20T and everything is still mega tight.

here is my intake, ugly welds I know.!http://i42.tinypic.com/nexeg6.jpg!
cupernicko — 14 years ago
the second gear clutch spring has been shortened so the bike shifts later, intake was custom made with an exhaust header and a square washer. carb is a 19mm phbg. pipe is a modded estoril. 27/20 gearing. pics will come real soon.mattology, how are you liking your setup?
cupernicko — 14 years ago
The intake is made, just have to re-angle the exhaust today, and bolt it all up. should rip though!
cupernicko — 14 years ago
hey matt, so with some time, how are you liking this setup? i got bored and antsy and found an extra polini laying around today and decided to start fabricating. any updates? I'll be posting results tomorrow and this weekend as well (polini cup cuperteens yeeaahhhH!).

Alright some definitive answers on clutches. I finally decided to crack open the transmission and do some experimentation. My bike was shifting far too early for me, and thicker oil was obviously not doing the trick.Intuition tells me that cutting the spring shorter in the second gear clutch would make the bike shift later into second gear. I ended up being only kind-of cautious and cut about 2cm

Did you enter me yet?
cupernicko — 14 years ago
for a tomos you will need to make a new intake if you pair the kit with some polini or malossi reed blocks. not too much working room in there.

cupernicko — 14 years ago
seriouslyyyyy dude. hey justin, what are you doing tonight?
cupernicko — 14 years ago
it will literally take you 10 minutes to remove the oil injector. if you are kitting your moped, why take the risk of seizure? simplify things, one less thing to go wrong.
cupernicko — 14 years ago
so if no air filter, then more air. wouldn't this just mean that you are rich? down-jet.

I currently have a heavily ported a35 cylinder that does somewhere between 40 and 45. I think with proper gearing and a better pipe, 50 on an a35 cylinder is more than possible with a bit of work. If you do decide to take the a35 route prepare for many hours with your dremel opening up the intake, exhaust, and transfers. Well worth it, a great learning experience, and cheap too.
cupernicko — 14 years ago
what's your oil mixture? downjet?
cupernicko — 14 years ago
well put in the 20W50 just now. It's delayed the shift enough to just start hitting my pipe, but there is still room for improvement. Clutch mods coming soon.
