Howdy there. I have a 1981 Garelli Rally Sport with a Dellorto SHA 14.12 carb and a Polini exhaust. Right now I've got a #56 jet. The ped runs great once it gets going, but struggles a lot when taking off. I think I need to upjet- any suggestions on how much? I plan to get a high-flow air filter to replace the stock one also, if I can find one that will fit. I don't know if the high flo

Hey there- I'm in the process of supping up a 1978 JC Penney Pinto. I bought a high-flow air filter and plan to replace the original 12mm carb with something larger, and get a new exhaust. It has a Puch E 50 engine. What do you suggest I go with? I'm thinking a 15mm Bing, but am not sure which exhaust choose. I'd like the bike to have a healthy top speed without loosing too much acce

Oh, the pedals work fine. The engine just gasps and won't stay running.

I need some advice. This morning my Pinto ran like a top. I cleaned the carburetor, then removed the exhaust and de-carbonized with oven cleaner. Now it won’t turn over. The gasket between the exhaust and the engine was weathered and broke. Any idea what my problem could be? Is the gasket needed to run? Thanks for the help.

For Sale: 1978 JCPenney Pinto 2 MopedManufactured by Kromag of Austria, it features a Puch E50 1.5 HP engine, a Bing 1/14/157 carburetor, and Snowflake mag wheels. It also has a metal high-flow air filter and a metal fuel filter. Cosmetically, I'd say this moped is a 7 or 8 out of 10. It looks very nice, but isn't perfect. It runs great. Starts on the first kick and idles strong. The odo

I'd like to hold onto the Pinto 2 (unless the price was right). $300 for the Pinto would work for me.

The Pinto 2 works great. The yellow Pinto worked fine last spring but wouldn't start in the fall. I think it has a minor issue with the clutch cable. I just haven't been able to work on it inside.

I'm looking to sell this pair of matching Montgomery Ward Open Road mopeds. I bought them for projects, but haven't had time to work on them. Both mopeds are complete, but aren't running. The engines are not seized. These have Columbia/Sachs engines and Bing carbs. These mopeds need a little elbow grease to get them up and running. It shouldn't be too difficult to fix one up and

Thanks, it is a sweet moped. Hopefully I'll find a good home for it.

I hate to do it, but I’m going to sell my 81 Garelli Rally Sport. This ped is in excellent condition. 2,998 miles. It looks great- probably the best looking Garelli in Michigan. It’s got a very clean Dellorto 14.12 carburetor and a Polini pipe. The acceleration is a bit weak with the Polini, but could easily be fixed by returning to a stock pipe or, better yet, getting a larger

Hi there. I'm looking for a new home for this Garelli Huret speedometer. I bought this and a speedo cable from another Moped Army member, but found out I only needed the cable. This speedometer is in excellent condition. I'm asking $25 shipped.
